Wow, Star Ocean is really shaping up.  I wish this was coming to the Ps3 so badly because I know there's probably tons of star ocean fans who only have one.  I guess join the 360 club.  Anyway, here is the video and then some images

The game looks like great fun, but those character models look horrible. Especially the little girl...

I'm liking everything of it I've seen so far, apart from the fact that it comes out 2 months later to Europe than it does to North America...

I just have one question to those of you who probably know more about it than me:  What does it use?  A location selector, a world map, or what?

Star Ocean is definately on my list of games that i have to pick up this year.

No, I'm not talking about graphics. It's just that anime designs are much more fitting in a cel-shaded game. Some of the characters models do look fine, but some just look creepy.

I hope it turns out good, I need another good 360 RPG after finishing Tales of Vesperia.

Well, yes.
Technically they're related, I saw the two together (rpgs a gamesyder or whatever--- that place that always has those screens and videos first).
But it's not a conspiracy or anything.

My gut reaction to WKC was "this looks awful" so I posted it to be a troll... really just to show my disappointmenet (i was hyping it)

Story will be a complete mess, with awful, cookie cutter cliche characters. Combat might be fun though, if the AI isn't brutal. And I wouldn't be surprised if your party members yell out something annoying 3-4 times per battle, like "Give them all your MIGHT!" or "Hot stuff, coming through!"

While Jrpgs have a shitload of cutscenes, you're forgetting the fact that rpgs tend to be like 100 hours.

Blue Dragon is about 90
Tales is supposely over 100 (im still playing it)

The game is looking good, hopefully I'll have a 360 by the time it comes out.

And, I'm not saying I agree with Jakob in regards to the whole Star Ocean series, but Till the End of Time was really just a bunch o cut-scenes that added little to nothing to the whole experience.

I've retried getting into Star Ocean 3....three times now? I don't think ill ever be able to get into it.

This though, looks phenomenal from a technical view. Not really feeling the character designs, (or names: Edge Maverick? what the hell?) but I am interested in this.

Whether it surpasses Lost Odyssey is yet to be seen. For me at least that's a mighty big undertaking.
