Ok, so I know that later on in the game, you find out that the game world you and your characters are in is just a giant MMO. This makes me really want to play this game, but I'm worried that the story will be less impactful because I know this ahead of time. I already have a huge backlog of games and would hate to start a 40 hour game that isn't really worth the time and effort. Basically, I'm asking if the game still holds up, has decent gameplay, and has a good ending. For those of you that have played this game, can you help me decide whether or not this is worth playing?

Then again, I'd argue it was never worth playing.
