Of course not. Why would you think it's legal?

Yeah, I REALLY doubted it. But just part of me hoped that it was so I could duplicate it.

I am pretty sure it is legal. But it is more then likely against ebay's rules and regulations.

Violates the TOS and EULA. Not legal. The BETA key is still property owned by Cryptic and you have no legal rights to take profit from it.

Pretty sure it is illegal to try and sell a publicly available beta code. Then again it may just be legal and people are daft enough to spend money on it.

I once sold a COD4 beta key for upwards of £40. Those were the days

I almost bought a beta key for 99 cents in that Target pre-release pack. So seriously, I think it is odd that someone would pay too much for an STO key, especially since there are plenty of them out there.

Now, if we want to talk beta keys that would have some value. Blizzard has a couple projects that I would (if legal or freaking reasonable) pay to get an earlier shot at playing. *cough* Starcraft *cough*

Why would you buy a beta code?  They're very easy to get.

Depends on the game and if its open beta or closed beta. But for this, its relatively easy to get.

@Meteora: Yeah, I'm referring to this game.  Incredibly easy to get.

On the other hand, if somebody was selling Starcraft Beta codes...
