Thursday, February 2nd is the opening date for the second anniversary of STO and Cryptic is sharing something of interest to most Captains out there still interested in the game: A Odyssey class cruiser. Apparently anyone at level 5 and above will get a chance to take the new ship for a spin by logging into the game between February 2nd and February 6th. Upon completing the quest, you'll be given a token to redeem your very own Odyssey starship. While it won't be possible to acquire the quest again after the event is over, the token will remain until you're level 50 and are able to redeem it. Oh and if you thought the Galaxy class had a wide turn radius, the Odyssey will apparently have an even wider one.
The KDF is not left out either. When logging in, all KDF captains above level 21 will receive a Bortas class star ship with similar specs to the Odysseus, though with some more power to weapons and of course a cloak. They also have to be 50 to be able to take command of it.

So will any Space Neon Lobsters be around for the Anniversary? I'll definitely be there to claim a ship and try out some of the stuff they've released since I played half a year ago.
