Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace

In this video game adaptation of George Lucas' Star Wars prequel, the player is immersed in various tasks in accordance with the events of the film to save the galaxy from the Trade Federation.

Concepts

Anti-Gravity Racing

A futuristic way of racing where the race crafts hover over the ground and race at extreme high speeds.

Saving the World

Many games feature a story which involves saving the world and its inhabitants, often single handedly.
Sith

Serving as polar opposites to the Jedi, they revel in dark side of the Force and lust power above all else. Sith Lords are identified by their "Darth" title, while lesser Sith and Dark Jedi are not allocated this title.
The Force

The Force is an energy field created by all living things, that surrounds and penetrates living beings and binds the galaxy together. It Is the source from which Jedi draw their power and abilities.
The Jedi

The Jedi consists of individuals capable of using the Force. They are the protectors of peace and stability in the galaxy.
Third-Person Perspective

The player character is seen at a distance from a number of different possible perspective angles. There is generally a movable camera but it can also be in a fixed position. It most commonly refers to a viewpoint behind the player character.
Tie-In

Videogames that, for better or for worse, are based on an existing non-videogame franchise. Usually drawn from movies, tie-in games have also been made about TV shows, novels, and even one-hit wonder pop bands.
Traps

A mechanical system designed to capture or cause harm. Some games allow players to set traps for their enemies... others set them for the player.
