KOTOR

I am loving this game. About 8 or so hours into it, just got accepted into the Order, got myself a yellow lightsaber. Love the depth of the story. After already really enjoying Dragon Age and Mass Effect, it was about time I played this - I loved previous Star Wars games.
I particularly liked the Jedi training Rocky style montage. It just needed some 80s music overlay and we were good to go.
Yesterday I found a dead body and three guys, any of whom could be the killer, so spent about 10 minutes talking to them all and putting together the pieces to conclude who the killer was. Great fun and a nice little hidden treat.
The graphics are also surprisingly impressive considering the age, it runs pretty smoothly on my Alienware and the textures are very sharp on both environments, and models. The faces... are pretty terrible in most instances but playing behind them is fine.

p.s. I also have an in-game crush on Carth.

If you like Bioware's work and your digging into their older games, I suggest you try out Jade Empire if you haven't already. I think it's on sale on Steam currently.

I really enjoyed KOTOR until my game bugged out and turned my crew into wookies, meaning I couldn't actually comminicate with any of them to advance the story. lost me about 12 hours :(

@mazik765: Checking it out - thanks. Love the Steam sale. It's too easy to buy loads of stuff though.

@mwng: Oh man! Sorry, that made me giggle! That sucks really though. Did you ever start a new game?

Dude, I'm sorry, but that's the best glitch ever. We can't fly this ship, entire crew is wookies.

Yeah, I finished it in the end. Was a great game, I always play the sissie good guy though for some reason unless there's an option to blow something up...

Still, learned the valuable lesson of; have more than 1 save when it comes to RPGs.

(Screenshot is courtesy of some other site, same glitch though)

@mwng: I am trying to play through as a nice gal, did the same in other Bioware games. Sometimes it's very tempting to do other things though!
Definitely have more than one save - I learnt that via an Xbox glich.

What a great game to pick back up.  When I played it though I got to the final battle and got the Boss down to the tiniest bit of health left and then he froze... preventing me from completing the game.

@Kyreo: No way! That's rubbish. Slightly funny in a weird way... but mainly rubbish. Ever thought of replaying?
During a big boss battle in Mass Effect I got stuck in the geometry and couldn't end or anything, just had to reboot.
