Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Game » consists of 32 releases. First released on Sep 16, 2008

Set in between Star Wars Episodes III and IV, Force Unleashed casts the player as Darth Vader's secret apprentice tasked with hunting down the last of the Jedi Order.

Star Wars: FU demo reminded me of Psi-Ops.

At least with the force grip mechanic. Simplistic and works efficiently. Anybody with me in cherishing this largely underrated game (referring to Psi-Ops). In case you didn't know, Psi-Ops had a psychic (?) ability to grab objects and enemies -- similar to force grip -- and it worked very well.

I loved Psi-Ops, and TFU made me want a sequel really, really badly.

Felt the same way, especially given the way Psi-Ops ended.  So much potential there.  Midway just needs to get their shit together.
As for TFU, I've only played a handful of the game so far, first two or three levels.  I dig it.  The story is epic so far, better than the last three movies combined IMO.  I think the way The Force is set up in this is a bit more fast-paced than the way you used your mind powers in Psi-Ops.  However, you can do a lot more in Psi-Ops than in this.  For instance:

TFU - doesn't allow you to stand on something, force grip it, and move it
Psi-Ops - does

That's the kind of stuff that made Psi-Ops full of so much win!

I can't believe some flamer bumped my thread from a month ago (e.g. Levio91).

Well, given that TFU JUST came out, and apparently he felt like stating that it made him want a Psi-Ops sequel really badly...what are you gonna do?

No, he made this thread on the Rock Band 2 forums, which I commented on. He was also the first person in a month to bump this thread. See the comparison?

LOL  Rare much?
Didn't know bout all that, Vinchenzo.  Still, it's whatever.  The topic holds some form of recent relevance, given that it's about time Midway made a Psi-Ops sequel...

...wait, wait, wait.

Midway needs to SELL the rights to Psi-Ops to someone who can actually develop a game and then THEY can make a Psi-Ops sequel.

Psi-Ops was a very amazing game. I believe I only rented it at the time, but my god I have an urge to buy it.

I say either Epic games or Bioware.

Epic can suck it.  Bioware would be interesting, but I'm afraid of text screens.  And for the love of God, no one say Pandemic.

Maybe Ubi Montreal.

Psi-Ops is amazing! It was so fun exploding people's heads! It never got old! I also loved taking the soldiers and throwing them into the furnace and closing it up!

SO MUCH FUCKING FUN! GIVE ME PSI-OPS 2! PLEASE!
