are the SWTOR and Origin profiles connected?

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a massively-multiplayer role-playing game set 300 years after the events of BioWare's Knights of the Old Republic series, but still approximately 3,600 years before the events of the films.

are the SWTOR and Origin profiles connected?

I have a retail version, had to create a new profile at swtor.com in order to activate my code. I used the same email address as my origin account.

Is there a way to connect the two?

Most people would want their games to not be connected to origin in any way.

But no i dont think there is a way to connect them.

@LocoRocker: I just loaded up origin and my copy of Old Republic is already on there. Weird.

Yeah, if you reg with your existing origin email, it'll tie your accounts together. If you put in an email that isn't affiliated with an origin account, it makes one for you and you'll have to get it merged manually... I'm in this situation.

The Origin account I was forced to make to play Battlefield 3 instantly got connected when I registered the disc version(I'm in Kuwait. Wouldn't let me buy digital.) of SWTOR. Sigh... I wish I could have just used Steam.
