You should rename it "Kessler Shrugged" humorously including the idea of the power of the super individual (in this case kessler) with his obviously non alpha male character and generally jovial nature.

I've accepted all applications so far. I've posted this on the guild page forum but I'll ask here too. I've listed this server as PvP but I'm willing to change it depending on what you guys are into. Specifically RP-PvP and PvE.

RP in my experience doesn't mean role play. What usually happens on RP servers is that you just get a more mature crowd. It's become somewhat of a code word for people that don't want to play with a rowdy crowd. If we go PvE then we could select our natural enemies (Good Luck Have Bothans) as a adversary, as they are going PvE. I'm not sure what that really does but it would be cool to have the GiantBomb guilds all on one server and competing. Or we could stick with PvP!

So what do you guys think?

I have to say that latter options sounds pretty awesome. So I will vote that.

If everyone decides on PvP, I guess I'll roll there. I can live with fighting some dudes if that's where the community is.

The bonus to being on the same PvE server is that, if it's like the beta, you can make toons on both sides. So Catherine Huxley is a Republic Trooper, and Natheo Nuxley is an Imperial Agent.

@Matt: So are we switching this one to PVE? If the community is big enough after launch we could always launch a PVP guild after the fact. It'd be nice to have a republic GB guild and an empire GB guild on the same server.

@CL60: It's looking that way but I want to get a bit more feedback first. I have to admit having your Republic guild and this Empire guild on the same server is really appealing.

Uniting guilds on both sides makes a pretty compelling case for PvE, actually.

On the topic of PvP vs PvE, the only reason I tend to shy away from PvP servers is because, every once in a while, you run into a gank-happy crew right where you need to be to level and your only options are to A) go drastically out of your way to grind/find quests in a different zone or B) just give up on playing for the night and try again tomorrow.

But I've signed up and look forward to healing you all with my hate.

Also in SWG I played on the UK Eclipse server and it was the best one ever.

I am greatly, greatly tempted to have my Imperial characters here. I already have a home for my Republic characters, but once this goes live I'm pretty sure I would be all for joining a GB guild called Kessler Run. So count me in (as soon as you guys figure out what server you end up on and I can apply in game, since the early guild building is already locked down.)

Ok so here's what happened. I've switched the guild to PvE and done everything possible to try and get us and Good Luck Have Bothans on the same server. The guilds are locked right now as they are doing the guild import stuff and hopefully they give us both the same server.

I only played in that one weekend beta, and I think I was on a pve server (there was only one west coast server online at the exact moment I made my character). What kind of world pvp are you looking at in this game? I really like the idea of World pvp breaking out occasionally, but I don't want no hillsbrad shit where you can't even quest for so many high levels ganking everywhere constantly.

@Ulong: Well like I said in the previous post we're switching to PvE but if you're interested anyway it's because I think open world PvP is last form of player made content in MMOs. It's the only thing that can't be predicted and keeps things interesting long after the PvE content has ended.

We can always make a PVP guild on a different server when these ones start going. There is a PVP planet though, and you could always run around flagged if you want :P

I will totally join this guild when the game launches.

Will also sign up for the guild when I get into the early access (hopefully) at some point.
