Well, it'd be 'realistic' considering the setting, but that's not how conventional MMOs work. Also, I'm sure PvP would be great fun if everyone died in one hit.

Wouldn't one slash with a sword in WoW be equally fatal?

Not in Warcraft 3, we have no real movies to compare it to.

There is a goddamn Lord of The Rings marathon on Encore right now. What are you talking about?

Damn I must of missed the hobbit race in WoW, looked all over.

I'm just saying I saw a dude run a sword through an Orc.

    Wow Orcs =/= Lotor Orcs.

There are lots of movie with swords stabbing dudes :/. Limit it to human on human violence in Wow if you must. Or how about a sword hit in Age of Conan. In reality one sword hit = dead, just like one lightsaber hit = dead (assuming lightsabers existed in reality).

Just sayin', if anyone expected lightsabers or blasters to be one hit kills was setting themselves up for a disappointment from the get-go.

So from what people in this thread appear to be saying is that one-hit kill lightsaber attacks would make the game not very fun to play.  But there are plenty of people who are complaining that hitting someone twice with a lightsaber is awful and breaks their immersion.  They obviously would not be complaining in order to make the game worse, or complaining for the sake of it, perish the thought.  They must be right, they are complaining, and complaining is the only thing that video game enthusiasts have any real interest in.
