I heard this game had been permanently halted. The article makes me think differently. I played this game at the first Blizzcon, and it was AMAZING. I really enjoyed playing it. Anyone know if hope for seeing the light of day exists?

It could come back in a few years, but as of right now, StarCraft Ghost is in fact ghost.

I think it's on hiatus until Starcraft II comes out, and if that's successful they'll probably go ahead and finish it. Or maybe their simply WAITING with releasing it until after Starcraft II, hoping that it will ride on the renewed interest in the Starcraft universe.

I'm just wondering how Nova's appearance in SCII will be. They did say she's going to appear in the game.

But man, I was looking forward to this game when it was first announced. I'm still hoping they're going to develop, and hopefully, finish the game. Would love to see it come out in the Playstation 3, 360, PC (of course), and probably the PS2. Hahaha I dont know about the PS2, but the next-gen consoles are good, since they indefinitely postponed it because they wanted to develop it for next-gen anyway.....

Blizzard!!! Please make this game alerady!!!

No. It's been indefinitely postponed. Maybe they'll bring it back to life...but maybe not..I dont really know...

Blizzard has so much money pouring in from WOW that they can just cancel completed or nearly completed games if they don't feel like they are exactly what they wanted.

I heard something recently about them not publishing games unless they are super happy with them. Im pretty sure it was in reference to ghost.
They wont do this unless they can get it perfect. But i wouldnt rule it out.

I do believe it was officially canned. Well, if Blizzard thought it would be a bad game, then more power to them for not having gone all the way with it

Officially, it's put on "Indefinite Hold", because Blizzard wasn't happy with how it was turning out.
I think the code is on some hard drive over there, but nothing's going to happen to it anytime soon, I mean they're working on 4 projects for goodness sake.

You know it is too bad because the game looks great and was awesome to get such an "up-close and personal" view of the StarCraft Universe. A lot of people who played the multiplayer said it was a lot of fun but "wonky." I was really looking forward to this game for so long and although Blizzard said they might touch on this in the future, I honestly doubt they will make this their first plunge into console gaming. But who knows, Blizzard is one of a handfull of companies in the gaming industry that you would be wise to not try and predict. These guys have standards for a reason.
