Are the lower tiers still fairly populated, and do your think that the Christmas season will reinvigorate them?
 
I'm getting it for Christmas either way and just wondering how much I will need to practice offline before jumping in with my old Zerg game.

I'm bronze and I get into matches quickly at all times of the day.  You don't have anything to worry about for finding matches.
 
I didn't think of it, but the holidays will probably do all kinds of screwy things to the leagues.  Hmmm...

I'm in bronze and it takes less than a minute to find a match during all times of the day. You should be fine.

I just bought it a couple of days ago and I'm in bronze and always find matches within a minute.
Sadly I get my ass handed to me in the majority of them.

Im bronze, but i seem to be matched up to a lot of silver and gold players.

dude come on. This game will be very populated for many years to come. The original starcraft was still populated 10 years later.
