So, im not really a Strategy game preson, im more of the FPS jnkie and more things of that nature; However, I just saw the Battle Report 3 here on GB and I thought that Starcraft was a really cool game and I really wanted to get into it.

Definately get the first game,if you can stand pretty dated graphics of course XP

I'm the same as you man and the original Starcraft is one of the only RTSs that I could ever really get into.  Looking forward to the second.

Get the first StarCraft and play it for a bit to see if you like it, or can get into it. If you can, awesome! It's an amazing game. If you can't well... then it's just not your thing and that's cool too.

Buy the battle chest, so you get Brood war too. Not many people online on the original non-expanded starcraft (although more than you would expect for a 12 year old game).

Yea the graphics are pretty old, but the gameplay is really timeless.

Hey??? is starcraft a 2 disc game or one? i only have one disc and its asking for a second one...

Starcraft is 1 disc, and the expansion (Brood War) is also 1 disc.
I bought them individually though, not the battle chest, so it might be different.

yeah it is one, Feuh! I though I was goingto have to go back to gamestop and be like "where's my second disc???"
