This guy, HuskyStarcraft, is the most popular commentator of SC2 games on Youtube.  This is the first of three videos where in which he plays Spanishiwa. The catch is, each time he loses, Spanishiwa gets a handicap. It's only a very casual game but it's well worth watching for the commentary, where Husky jokingly tries to pass off his mistakes as part of his strategy. There are also some amusing chat exchanges, such as at the start of the game where Husky asks Spanishiwa for "no drones, zerglings or queens".

Jesus, he still says "h to the usky"?
It was funny though. If only because I get to laugh at husky.

It's interesting to me how some casters get better the longer they do it while others continue to languish in mediocrity.

I know I'm in the minority here, but Husky definitely urks me with the way he carries his commentary. We can all agree on Day 9 though, right?

Day 9 is phenomenal caster, and another one I find decent is HDstarcraft. Husky is ok, but nothing special

There is a reason why Husky has more subscribers than Day9, and HDstarcraft...

Because he's better than them. In case you didn't catch what I was getting at. Case closed. ;)

I think I'll throw my opinion in here on casters.  I can't stand boring ass analytical casters such as Day9.  Anyone who is competent at StarCraft and keeps up with it at all shouldn't need a caster to analyze every move a player does - I don't, I know exactly what is going on when I'm watching, and I'm not that great at all - so I don't understand why people want one.  I would MUCH rather listen to an up-beat caster than can keep up with the action going on, know enough about StarCraft  and what is going on to not sound dumb, and be funny at the same time.  Husky is pretty much that, and he is one of my favorite casters because of it.  HD is also a good caster.  I think my personal favorite is Psy, as he is very intelligent when casting but also can be quite funny.  On the contrary, I can't stand when casters make dumb, wrong predictions, and try to joke but come off as really lame.  TotalBiscuit for example.  I'm usually alright with his WTF is series or whatever, but oh my god... I couldn't even watch the matches he casted in the IPL.  I tried and seriously had to turn it off it got so annoying.

Anyways... I'll probably get flamed for this, but oh well.

Do you seriously think that a caster's worth should be judged by the amount of surbscribers they have?

The problem with Husky is that he's a play-by-play caster and many of the more veteran SC viewers view his casting as herp derp compare to some people like Tastosis. He's fine for casuals though.

Necroing a thread isn't exactly good.

And yes it is insightful. Go on Team Liquid and see for yourself on the number of people who cringe at Husky. He's good at play by plays and humour but that's it.
