Guess who can not tell WOW from SC.
They stated that SC2 took over 100mill to make..well turns out thats wrong and that is how much WoW took...
Sadly The original story needs you to have a subscription to the WSJ..
This mistake makes me wonder how much SC2 did take to make tho.
I'm sure it's shocking in and of itself.
I was asked to do a little piece about Warcraft a while back, I told them what I knew and they basically said: "Naaah, make up some cool facts".
Media sucks!
My thoughts exactly, they just don't see videogames as a form of entertainment, but as toys.
This hurts us in the long run.
They will all remember GTA for its horrible crimes eh? ><

Finish the Fight. 07.27.10
I agree, go enjoy your game (well..you know what I mean!).
More partying and gaming, less negative crap! Woohoo!
(And I won't blog it, I'm not that much of an attentionwhore :P)
" I agree, go enjoy your game (well..you know what I mean!). "5 more days, 5 more long days...side note, you gonna pick it up? Even if you're really bad, it will pay off the community wouldn't mind helping out.
No wait, Friday is almost over....so just 3 more nights of sleeping. Monday night, can't get here soon enough.
I'm not much for RTS games, altho my interest has increased thanks to SC2 and I might just pick up SC1 sometime.
But if you'd sponsor me a copy of SC2, I won't argue with ya!
@ch13696:
LoL @ Jeff! XD
" This mistake makes me wonder how much SC2 did take to make tho. I'm sure it's shocking in and of itself. "I'm thinking at $30 to $50 million and I read about this story on this site.

But if I may wonder further, I have to wonder how much they spent in infrastructure, support and whatnot specifically for this release even tho' it doesn't get booked as "StarCraft 2" development costs due to it's long term, multi-game value.
" @ISuperGamerI said:Do you mean the amount of money they invested in upgrading Battle.net and such?" @ProfessorEss said:Yeah, I'd buy that. " ...sweet, I just realized GT5 is still the most expensive game in history. :P "not really surprising considering how good that game looks-gotta be expensive from a technical perspective. Also, it takes a shit ton of money to keep paying people for 9 years or however long.
waiting for duke nukem forever to eclipse that budget in like 10 years though.
