I been putting all of them into Ctrl Groups to use whichever one with energy to spare.
is there a button for them instead? like how Protoss can press "W" to select all warp gate?

Nope. But you can put them ALL in a control group and when using their abilities, it will use whichever one has the energy until they all run out.

Theres no button for that (as far as I know), but you don't have to separate them. If you select 3 CCs and hit scan, only 1 scan will be used. Same thing with most unit abilities. To use 5 psi storms, you click and target each one individually.

Pretty much all the old annoyances from the original starcraft are gone. They even fixed wasted splash from seige tank overkills.

Does anyone else use Ctrl group 5?  It seems like the popular choice to put your CC's/Nexi/Hatches on 5.

I use Cntrl Group 0 (left over from SC 1 days and my Comsat).

1 for Barracks with the Tech Lab
2 for Barracks with Reactor Core
    3 for Factory
4 for StarPort with Tech Lab
5 for StarPort with Reactor Core
6 for my main ground force
7 for my main air force, scouting force
    8 unassigned
    9 unassigned
0 Command Centers (usually with the Orbital Base upgrade)

If you have multiple buildings with different attachments, you can put them on one hotkey and just Tab through them. Faster, simpler, and way more efficient than seperate hotkeys.

    Anyways, my set is usually:

    1- Ground Army
    2- Ground Support Army
    3-Air Force
    4- Orbital Commands
    5- Barracks'
    6- Factories
    7- Starports
    8-
    9-
    0-

I used to use 0 for CC's, but taking hands off keys is dangerous.

I thought H or Home did it in SC1? Well, cycles through them, or something. Or was that a different RTS...
Well, quite sure it's not H.
