Yea, because of the servers, Europe is in its own region. There's North America, South America, Europe, Asia and now Australia (which gets to choose).

Sure, I'd like to give it a shot. I'm still on the fence to purchasing it, as I'm not sure if I'd enjoy the multiplayer. I'm in the UK so it's nice to see some EU keys being offered up, most of them I've seen have been US ones.
