I say summer of 2009. From what i have heard it still haven't hit beta yet and it is still in alpha testing. If they finish alpha testing right now and enter beta, it will be another 6-9 months before it is released ( if nothing major changes.)

I think thats a pretty good prediction. I suspect Blizz will release Wotlk this holiday season. I myself would probably expect Starcraft 2 in the first half of 2009  and Diablo 3 maybe late 2009 but probably 2010.

I thought this was coming out later this year...

I'm saying Spring 2009, that is, if the beta is announced around Christmas time.
They could always release it on 1st April 2009, which would be exactly 11 years after the original Starcraft.

Unfortunately I agree with you guys. They've got the wow expansion coming soon, so there's no need to rush a product out the door (not that they really ever do, it's blizzard after all). I'm dying to play this game, but I'm having an Eric Cartman moment in wanting to freeze myself until it's release.

I don't think that WOW expansions will have any effect on SC2 from being released at all. Its different Genre's different crowds etc... Even so, no beta = still a fair way off.. As blizz have said from the start "when its ready"... 2009 definitely... Thats about all we should say for now :)

I was predicting this year earlier, but I guess there's also delays and such...probably early 2009, but man just imagine how SCII will turn out...another 10 years of massive worldwide tournaments, or probably more than that

Holidays 09 is a safe bet.

I see late 2009... like sometime in the fall. I don't feel like they're going to release it sooner then the summer.

probly mid 2010, I think diablo will come out before star craft. but then again its blizzard so its almost impossible to predict
