SUPER TOURNAMENT!
Super Tournament starts on Monday! Tickets are up for purchase now. Same price as previous seasons... $9.99 with ads $19.99 without.
This works like the first 3 open tournaments.
Round of 64 to 16 is Bo3
Round of 8 to the Semi is Bo5
Finals are Bo7 for all the monies in South Korea!
I'll keep this thread updated as the tournament goes on!
Some of these groups are BEASTS. Man there are going to be some intense games right off the bat.
- Huk v san (PvP though =/)
- Inca v Ryung (oGs P vs SlayerS T, should be good)
- Genius vs Boxer (Two old favs)
- MIN VS JULY (Crown a new Zerg god?)
- FruitDealer v Ace (Am I the only one who still likes FD?)
- Killer (aka SangHo) vs Bomber (I still firmly believe Killer can take out anyone in a Bo3 if he tries)
First day of the Super Tournament is in the books! It was a Terran day, two of the games are worth watching and two of them are not.
IMMVP vs. CreatorPrime.WE
SlayerSGanZI vs. ButterflyEffect
CheckPrime.WE vs. oGsSuperNova
SlayerS_MMA vs. FOXLyn
BOOM!
The new Code A team debuts in the Super Tournament. I have to say Wolf is a pretty likable analytic caster. Not sure that he and Moletrap have their synergies down quite yet, but I have hopes that they will pull it together as this ST goes on.
As for the games today, nothing too unexpected (for me at least). I expected the result of the InCa v Ryung series, though I didn't expect the jookTo vs anypro series to go that way. No standout games in my mind though. =/ I can't wait for Ro32, going to be some sick matches there.
Here is the update from todays games. Other info is on my blog
MVPviOlet vs oGsTheWind
TSL_Rain vs. MVPKeen
oGsjookTo vs. anyproPrime.WE
This picture is all you need to know about todays games! Here are the results anyways.
TheBestfOu (T) vs. ZeNEXJJUN (T)
MVPGenius (P) vs. SlayerS_BoxerR (T)
SlayerS_Min (Z) vs. ST_July (Z)
Wait what games aren't casted by tastosis? I wanted to watch the Team League, but I don't want Moletrap+Doa and I have no experience with Wolf.
Wait what games aren't casted by tastosis? I wanted to watch the Team League, but I don't want Moletrap+Doa and I have no experience with Wolf. The May GSTL is done by Moletrap and Doa. Tastosis and Wolf + Moletrap switch off days. Tomorrow is Wolf + Moletrap
The Moletrap + Wolf combo feels quite a bit better than the Doa + Moletrap combo to my ears. Wolf is a much better analytical caster than either Doa or Moletrap was in that role. That said they don't quite measure up to Tastosis yet, but given that Tasteless and Artosis have been working together for years and these dudes have had a week max, I'm ok with that. They will get better as the tourney goes on.
A couple images from today's games.
My blog has the map and set results from the past two days of the tournament.
TSL_Revival vs. oGsEnsnare
TSL_FruitDealer vs. ST_AcE
ST_Squirtle vs. MarineKingPrime.WE
The theme of the Super Tournament has been two good matches and two bad matches... today was no exception. I'll post the complete game breakdown for the past THREE days on my blog. Screenshots will come tonight!
TSL_aLive vs. LeenokfOu
ZeNEXByun vs. LegalMind
SlayerS_Alica vs. oGsMC
Things we learned from the matches this morning. 1. 20 Rax is now the normal for PvT 2. Any form of Nuke will make Moletrap scream like a girl 3. A Nexus can take 3+ Nukes
IMNesTea vs. oGsCezanne
IMLosira vs. PoltPrime.WE
LiquidHuK vs. NSHoSeo_San
This is why everyone on Boxer's teams are awesome. Crazy crap like that. It's like that thread a while back that showed how Boxer blocked in an SCV and a marine with a depot so he could keep control of a Xel'Naga tower. They're little things, but they make huge differences.

Curious why this thread went away, since we usually just stick with one per tournament.
Anyway, I was quite pleased with Wolf this week. I think he did a damn good job, especially since he probably did more solo games than expected. And I just realized his real name is actually Wolf. Bad ass.
Yeah, the thread did kinda go away. I started blogs because I wasn't able to do post after post.
Yes, Wolf did a good job by himself. If you're interested, you can apply for a caster spot with GOM!
Rainbow performing will make the finals 100% better... Yoon Hye and Hyun Young .... can't wait!
Mr. ESPORTS approves of Rainbow
pretty lame that the top 4 are allllll teeerrraaaannnnn...... could be worse I guess it could be all protoss....I remember in GSL March where it was 3 Protoss and a Zerg. People were relieved as hell when it wasn't a PvP finals. TvT finals is fine by me.
Its actually funny now that I think about it because all the Terran champions will come out from a TvT finals. GSL has some weird patterns.
