    And do you think it is at the right skill level for you?  
     
    I got placed in gold after my placement matches where i wen 4-1 but now I'm getting my ass kicked in gold. 
     
    Anyone else facing a skill differential between you and your league?

    There are 50 practice matches, that can be skipped, and next there are 5 placement matches.

    I'm in the bronze league and I think it's the right league for me right now. I sucked when I started playing but I'm definitely getting better. I might have been lucky but I won about 75% of the matches I played today. :D

    I ended up in Silver 1v1, but I disconnected during one of the placement matches that counted as a loss so I might be placed a little low.  Gold is probably where I belong.

    Isn't Diamond higher than platinum? Though if I remember right you can't get placed in Diamond out of your placement matches. I had never played sc2 before my placement matches, but I played quite a bit of BW before SC2's release so I think I'm just beating people purely on mechanics. I don't mean to brag, but I just figured I'd be getting crushed when I first started playing the game, but I guess that just goes to show how popular this game is. Lots of completely new players.

    Practice league baby. It's a great place to try out build orders, Ive been away from RTS-gaming for too long to just jump into SC2 multi. 2 games played 2 wins, both TvP with me being Terran. Both times they ragequit.

    of my 5 placement matches 4 were PvP and 1 was PvT won 4 lost 1 and since then i have been seeing mostly protoss players/ losing a lot, probably gonna get down to silver sometime

    Got placed in silver 1v1 and winning about 50% of my matches so I guess it's the right spot for me at the moment. Pretty cool to see that the matchmaking actually works out pretty well.

    Bronze, was kinda hoping for Silver but Bronze is probably the right league for me and I have something to work for getting to Silver.  Also I think Copper is the lowest league, pretty sure there's one lower than Bronze cause I was in that league in the beta if I remember correctly.

    lowest to highest: bronze,silver,gold,platinum,diamond.  
    they removed copper after beta and added diamond (pretty pointless being as theres now still 5 tiers, confusion between the old copper and bronze apparently)

    I got placed in bronze, and never having played SC, or playing any multiplyayer in an RTS, bronze seems like a good place for me. Iwas getting completely obliterated early on, but i've gotten better and have almost got a 1 -1 win loss ratio. having a blast with the game.

    I got into Bronze 1v1, which feels appropriate. I think I'm usually a bit better than most people I play with but not by enough that I should be in another bracket.

    I play zerg, and I'm just curious, does anyone else notice that every match they're in is against the protoss? I love my zerg dearly... but I think I may need to make a switch. I'm getting tired of void ray attacks.

    @ThatFrood: The Voids will stop once you get playing against better players  - What you do is simply throw up a few spore crawlers and then go hydras - The toss player is betting everything on those rays-You nuke them GG for you : )

    Yea there does seem to be a lot of protoss players. For some reason I assumed there would be a lot more Terran players, not entirely sure why.

    Yeah, after a couple games I got that figured out, but it's a pretty boring grind having to do that everytime you see a toss bunkered up in his base. I just kind of roll my eyes and think to myself "not this again".
    I hope what you're saying is true, better players don't do that annoying void ray stunt.
    Still though, is there something to all of this play the protoss are getting or does everyone just have a big stiffy for zeratul and tassadar?

    @ThatFrood: I play toss as my main race. And honestly IDK why there are so many toss players. The koreans are Heavily Zerg dominated and generally Toss is the LEAST played PRO race. The higher you get the weaker toss gets.  
    The kids just like having Voids honestly. The better players get better at countering voids the more kids cry when 2 Vikings Micro there voids to death and then they go cry in a corner and L2P or GTFO.  
    Also if you want to hit me up for some 2v2s then feel free.
