I think that's all of them? Roughly $130. It will most likely last me to Yuletide, and probably beyond that as well as I still haven't gotten to some of the games from last winter's sale (like the witcher(s)). Already finished the duke DLC, dear esther, working my way through Q.U.B.E.

I was so close to buying Jade Empire before, since it didn't get any further discounts. Pretty glad I held off on that.

I was kinda disappointed somewhat with the Steam sale this year. Not that the deals weren't good as they definitely were but I felt like I already owned the most of the games on sale, outside of some of the publisher's packs. I still picked up quite a few games (a lot of indie titles) and in many cases DLC packs since it was usually cheaper to get the full collection including DLC than buying the DLC individually.

It maybe dragged on too much towards the end, though. Having daily AND flash deals was a bit redundant. Instead of 10 days, it could have easily be done in 7. But I guess it was OK for people new to PC gaming and Steam, right?

Yup, my first ever steam sale, felt like I got a good deal overall. Spent £49 (roughly $76) and got:

Along with BF3, not a bad bunch of games to try out my first ever gaming PC with :)

Well, I mean, there were deals that were constantly repeated, which got really frustrating; and there was no real raffle like last time, only the badge thing. Also, I suppose it's pretty inconsequential, but the background illustrations were nowhere near as good as last time; something from the last sale:

Picked up a few games that I was holding off on. Every year I promise myself this is going to be the year I buy the PoP collection and every year I pass on it. As stated many times before, you get diminishing returns on these things each year, but I somehow always end up spending close to $100. It's the only imte of the year that DLC gets to the price that it should be and doesn't feel like a rip off when it's bundled.

Here's my final total. Wasn't anything that got me excited, but was more just a bunch of sure why the fuck nots?

	1. Warlock: Master of the Arcane Plus DLC- $8.47<br><br> Why I bought it: It's Civ 5 with awesome Monsters and skeleton armies instead of boring people. Why wouldn't I buy it?
	2. Rise of the Argonauts $7.49<br><br> Why I bought it: I have been dying to play a game during this time period, and this seemed to be the only one in recent memory that was not supposed to be completely terrible.
	3. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 $2.49<br><br> Why I bought it: I HAVE NO IDEA! I think it was because I always wanted to play one these games and it was $2.50 so I said fuck it.
	4. Age of Empires III $9.99<br><br> Why I bought it: I bought it on GFWL a long time ago for like $.50, but since it was on GFWL I might as well never have had it. Didn't think to see if I could apply my GFWL key on Steam until after I had bought it. :(
	5. ArmA II $23.99<br><br> Why I bought it: I just bought it for the Day Z mod. Like everyone else.

	7. BioShock $9.98<br><br> Why I bought it: I hated this game on the 360 because of the controller, so I'm hoping that the KBM will allow me to enjoy it.

With the addition of flash and community deals this year, there were more slots than there were deals to fill them. That leads to frequent repeats, like we saw. Fine for people who aren't checking the sale frequently — KOTOR was a top seller every time it was featured, so it clearly worked — but those constantly looking for the best deals or going for the badge definitely noticed the repetition.

That damn badge! It encouraged revisiting the sale frequently, but those who did were quickly disappointed. There was no reward for such action other than the badge.
