Ya, I've got 'no connection' as well, I was 99% finished my download the the X-COM demo too. Ha ha, oh well, does anyone know if this is scheduled maintenance or is there a problem with their servers? The forums are down too, the forums that mention when the scheduled maintenance occur so I have k=no way of knowing.
i'm having problems, too. No Connection. Plus, i bought a game, was charged for it, but it didn't show up in my Library and there is the little install icon and it says that it has 0.0 B when I look in my profile.
EDIT: My 2nd issue seems to have sorted itself out, but i still can't get a connection.
Yeah I just bought Chivalry and it kept searching for new licenses when I tried to install it, so I restarted steam no the game isn't even in my library....
I am also having Steam issues: they can't seem to get their prices lower than Amazon or Green Man Gaming on the things that matter to me the most.

Valve already has their hooks into you. Green Man Gaming and Amazon seem to be pushing hard to make their storefront the de facto for PC digital downloads.
