Steam is a digital distribution service owned by Valve. Building my steam library

So I am looking into buying some games on steam and was wondering what are some of the favorites that are available that would be recommended.

In a week or two, I'm not sure which, there will be a Steam Summer Sale where for like 10 days there are deals on 9-12 games a day at ridiculous discounts. I had two games in my steam account a couple years ago, I got back into PC gaming right before a summer sale, after that, a fall sale and winter sale I had 100 games or more.

It depends on what kinds of games you are into. Check every day for the Steam deals (it's about half way down the page). Also check for Midweek Madness (Usually starts Tuesday and ends Thursday) and Weekend Deal (Thursday-Monday). In addition to that, they have special sales such as developer weeks or holiday sales. Just check for the sales. There's a lot and you can get some cool games out of there. And then you'll have a stupidly long list of games like mine: http://www.steamcalculator.com/id/rabdt

Thing is with the Steam sale is that it doesn't matter what kind of games you go in liking, you're gonna end up with the craziest stuff, because it was $1.49 and up.

Binding of Isaac a few coins and I have played for 6 hours. Check some videos and youll see. Plus steam sales will bulk you up, they are coming up so youll get sgames that are 30 ro 40 for 10 15 or even 5.

So things will go crazy you just wait.

PS you can buy Xcom collection for a very small amount. Noticed you avatar.

Yeah, wait for the Steam Summer Camp. Personally I can't wait to see what activities await us. It will be fun to read Sir Roderick's letters, too.

I really hope Arma 2: Combined Ops ends up on sale sometime soon. I'll probably cave in and get it either way with due time, however.

I also vouch for waiting until the summer sale. The publisher packs are discounted to all hell, not to mention there will most likely be recent release in there as well.

Goddammit my wallet.

Oh!! Also, keep an eye out for Amazon! They're probrably gonna have a summer sale of their own, and they sell a lot of Steam redeemable titles!

They cannot release them faster than I can buy them!

Ugh. Summer Sale. Thankfully, there's not a ton of stuff I want right now.

Although that's never stopped me from buying a ton of sale shit before...

@jazin: Knowing what you like would be incredibly useful, believe it or not.

@jazin:

As others have said, there will probably be a bonkers Steam sale in the coming month.

But if you need some games to play right meow, check out Half-Life 2 and Portal 1 and 2 for great singleplayer experiences. For the best multiplayer FPS around, install Team Fortress 2. It is free and better than a lot of $60 AAA titles, in my opinion.

I actually would rather play Gotham Impostors than Team Fortress 2...

But well, summer sale is coming so nothing matters... I'll end up with 30 games I will regret buying later on.

The steam sales are like a holiday in itself to me, especially when i have money. Theres lots of times i buy a game just to check it out for a hour or 2 even if its not something i really want that bad because its so cheap.
