Giant Bomb Gift & Bulk Pack Cooperative (DISBANDED)

I'll go in for it, but I don't really want to do all the paypal transactions. If anyone else wants to distribute post up. I'm off to bed though. I'll check it in the AM.
Sorry guys. I crashed for the night, but woke up right now because of my son. Anyways, I'll update the list to add @MB to it.
@Tordah: If you still haven't picked up a copy of Lead & Gold, I do have one available. Give me your Steam name and I'll message you my Paypal email and we'll go from there.
" @ch13696: Take me off of the AVP list, someone gifted me a copy. "Yeah, I just saw the thread. I posted a reply to him too. I don't think enough people will be in on this pool anyways so I'll just cancel it. Hopefully he has some copies left. If he doesn't then I'll just buy the $6.80 copy.
I would like to add to everyone that joined in on the Lead & Gold gift pack. Thanks for making it possible. It was a successful scenario and I can't wait till Steam does this again. Also to the people that were generous enough to buy the gift packs and literally give them away to the Giant Bomb crowd. We appreciate that too. If it weren't for you guys, broke gamers wouldn't be able to enjoy any games this holiday season.
Keep up the good work everyone and happy gaming. =D
I'm sure they'll do a ton of sales closer to xmas. They do have regular packs that are available all the time.
" @LordAndrew said:I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this." LordAndrew, I think? I'm never sure which name I'm supposed to give when people ask. Try MuffledSword if that doesn't work, and let me know which name I should give people in the future. "I fucking know right? "
Hi guys. Sorry if I'm waking the dead in this thread, but I'm interested in contributing. My SteamID is mperor, I think. Or pointlessmurder.
Anyway, how is this coordinated? And where?
Regarding Steam’s “Save X if you own Y” discounts
In the current Steam sale, Valve are trying something new, where for some games, you get a greater discount if you own another named game (often one in the same series, or by the same developer).
However, it appears that if you qualify for the discount, you can also get the cheaper price when gifting.
If you want to get one of the games that has a potential additional discount, but you don’t own any of the required games, it might be worth canvassing your friends list for someone who does qualify for the discount and is willing to purchase the game on your behalf.

Based on the comments on the Steam Page, I see The_Laughing_Man and me (Mace). Possibly Evil The Slayer.
I'll be idling in the group's Steam chat if anyone wants to go in on this and set this up. Maybe get a Mod interested so we can have someone trusting make the purchase. That would be ideal.
It was a good run and we shared a lot of fantastic deals, especially towards the beginning, but the group has been disbanded. There was a lack of interest, largely due to the changes Valve has made over the years that have adversely impacted trading. Namely, bulk packs of games are now quite rare, and on top of that cross-region trading has been practically killed since December when Valve imposed trading restrictions on games from the less expensive regions.
Thanks to everyone who has participated since we first started this thing informally close to five years ago! Feel free to get together amongst yourselves to take advantage of any group deals that may present themselves in the future.
