205, still havn't hit that point yet. I'm a horrible person. I havn't installed half those games!

How many Steam games did you buy before you felt disgusted...
306 games atm. Looking to raise them up, i have much to buy still.
Why? Because I don't pay them. I do the whole thing through trading Team fortress 2 items for games. Believe it or not, the only games I ever bought were when I installed steam for the first time in dicember 2009 (so i have it since 3 years) are Garry's Mod and Team Fortress 2 (Yeah, It wasn't free to play and I bought it on a sale for like 10$ (don't remember Gmod price).
Well since then I never bought a game again and I did all through TF2 trading until today that I have almost 1500 tf2 play hours and 306 games.
You want to know how much I played?
It turns out that I played 2580 hours and that I played about 19% of my games and never played 81% of them, LOL.
here you go. Stick your username in the end of the url like this and get your own stats and post them if you want:

Will I stop? Hell no, I have some valuable items in my inventory to trade for games and if I wait the good sales I can get a lot of good games. Why Stop for something I get free?
Peace
Probably around the time I started buying games I already owned because they where on steam and not a disc. I've done that too many times.
Edit: I've got about 45 games.
Steam claims that I have 126 game but it includes dlc, demos etc. so it's actually around 70 which make me feel much better. And I've been doing good getting through everything I bought during the sales so I'd say I have about 15 or so games I still need/want to finish.
that Lambentstew site says i only own 126 but when I count I own 202. DLC is another matter. And I truly buy games simply... because why the hell not? almost 2000$ in steam games alone and still counting! Not to mention practically every major system / handheld since 92 that have been slowly still adding games to.
289 and still going. I play quite a lot, if not all of them. Even if i don't play some of them for very long.
Hey, still doesn't compare to this guy my friend knows who has like...2320 games on Steam. Sounds like a lot...and then you look at how many games Steam has overall, and it's even worse.
I was find with the amount of games I had Until my wife mandated that to poor more money into games I had to maintain an average of 75% of games completed or an hour into each for every dollar spent. I then made a spreadsheet to represent all my games and rather or not I completed them. When I realized that I have only completed under 25% of those 100+ games...I felt a little sick to my stomach. Needless to say I started lying about beating games...lol
im a very hand to mouth gamer these days.
i only really buy what im going to play otherwise i find i just get swamped and end up just spending to long deciding what to play of an evening.
i only get between 1 to 2 hour an evening while the gf watches shit TV so i like play a couple of games to completion at anyone time. currently playing FC3 and Dark Souls.
One. Steam was pretty disgusting for the first year or so. I felt consumed with that disgusting venom coursing through my veins.
I now own almost 300 games and I weep every time I see that number. I feel like a no life looser who spends all his unemployment money on games. Than I look around and realise it's much worse....
But seriously, 300 games that is.....not good. (Although most of them come from bundles, I SWEAR!)
I´m at 130, but a lot of those are from Humble Bundles, and very few are full priced games (if you pay 50 or 60 bucks for a PC game, you have ISSUES)
So, yeah.. a little overwhelming at times, but since a lot of the games I buy for cheap are things I already owned on console at one point or things I don´t HAVE to play immediately, I don´t feel like I´m in a rush.
I have 87 on Steam, probably about 50% of them I haven't even downloaded yet. But I still trawl the offers on the store each day for 'bargains'. It's an addiction!
I have 61 Steam games in my library. 13 of those are just games that amassed due to me registering my Steam account back when Half-Life 2 came out. For that package I got many Valve titles for free like all the variants of HL1 & 2, TF Classic, Counterstrike, Ricochet, Day of Defeat etc. I haven't played all of those but I didn't buy them individually either. With Tribes: Ascend and LOTRO the library includes two free to play titles but I dumped some cash into those. Most of the rest are games I bought and played (almost always to completion at least once) like I would've with retail copies.
The only Steam "pile of shame" games are Far Cry 1 & 2 (I bought the discount package for FC2 which wouldn't run properly), Darksiders which was a lot of fun but kept crashing when opening treasure chests (so fuck the PC version) and Dead Space (which pissed me off with that meteor turret section and generally was a mediocre shooter with ineffective scares - I don't intend to come back). Still might be a lot of games to some but that's really just representative of my regular gaming habit.
Somewhere in the low 200s. The trick to not feeling bad is to actually beat most of the games that you own. I've still got a handful; that I need to go back to but I don't really regret anything except Homefront. Fuck Homefront.
I'm at 189. I don't really feel ashamed of that number, but rather the games that I'm at least somewhat interested in, that I've never gotten around to playing. I made a list of them not too long ago, it's about ten or so games. Also, I've started to think about by backlog more realistically recently, and just come to terms with the fact that there are some games in there that I'll never play
This thread made me check how many games I have on Steam. 191. I don't remember buying that many games, I also feel fine. No disgust yet.
219 games, all of which are installed. I've played maybe 80ish of 'em, if that. I've completed even less.
I regret nothing.
I've figured I'm going to play my 150+ games when I'm old and have nothing better to do with my time. That way i'll keep myself busy.
I've mostly stopped buying steam games but my problem now is that I buy PS3 and Vita Games. I got my PS3 in 2012 and I already have almost as many games as on my 360 that I bought in 2006 which is around 100.
There are always so many great sales. Like the Halloween sale that had a pack of 10 Resident Evil games for €35. And now Disgaea 4 is just €13 but I cannot get that.
huh 199, neat. I think the part that disgusts me more is the list I made that's just over 200 of games that I've either never played at all or never really started playing (outside of maybe messing with them for 15 min one day) (many of them physical games, still in the shrink wrap, many more taken out of the shrink wrap but never actually put in a console! :D.....D: )
Disgust is too strong of a word. It's more of a chuckle and a headshake.
225 games and counting, and I have played the vast majority of them until I felt done with the game. Anything I haven't played either came in a bundle and I'm not interested, or is called Darksiders 2. We don't talk about that. Also Killing Floor is totally broken for me and I can't boot it up. :(
The mods may not be too happy with this necro-thread, but I have a valid ( well I think) input to add with the last posters. I finally started Torchlight 2 yesterday. I have no idea how I got it, Sales or spontaneous life-generation. But now after it sitting latent for say two years, (much like this thread), I am having to fight off jumping into it after doing an hour of it, and finish off my fight with Big Boss. I am so happy having it sit in my library till I discovered I cared.
And there is so many others!!!!!!
Never enough.
THIS GODAMMIT!
I have 99 I believe. I've at least given 90% of those a fair shake. Finished much less than that however. Dota happens. A lot.
I'm sitting around 340 and I feel no shame. Granted most were bought during sales, and a lot of small developers so it's not like I've spent the cost of a new car. I only feel bad if it's a bad game where if I had read some reviews I wouldn't have bought it, and that hasn't happened in a long time.
