A digital distribution service owned by Valve Corporation. Originally created to distribute Valve's own games, Steam has since become the de facto standard for digital distribution of PC games.
How many Steam games have you bought?
I've bought a bunch ... I think I'm up to like 40ish now ... it's really great when they release new games on steam. Just saves me a trip to the store! :)
Really xruntime, you're slow internet isn't really an excuse for not buying games on steam. If you pre-order any game, they let you pre-load it WEEKS before it is released so that on release day, you download a small bit and you can play right away.
And what is so wrong about DRM? Aren't you sick and tired of people killing good PC games by hacking and downloading them? Steam is in no way intrusive in the way it does it's DRM and it goes a long way towards doing things the right way.
Wow 152? I haven`t bought any yet, I was planning on getting counter strike since there is some deal on, but I`m going to wait and see if I can get the actual cased game, I would just feel better about it that way : D
None, because my stupid parents think that if you use your credit card on the internet the world will implode or something. I am too young to have my own yet they wont let me borrow theirs. I think they are just trying to piss me off.
15 odd.
Steam has partially won me over but I still like having a physical disk. The real problem on Steam is the publishers that don't make content available in all countries, they just put it on there for the US. There's quite a few games i'd buy if they were available to me.
Rest of World Steam Group
I have about 16 games, but if you count the individual purchases, then it's only 5. And one of those was a retail purchase.

DRM is necessary, I agree. But it's effect is pretty minimal. People still play Steam singleplayer AND multiplayer games illegally.
I can't run that many games on my pc since it's 3 years old so I only have 20 excluding peggle extreme and trackmania nations since it's free. I get crossplatform games for my 360 (except for the orange box which I have on both ^^) since for some reason I tend to enjoy them more on a console (even though the screen and soudsystem I'm using for my xbox is the same as my pc).
