Starting today monday, Steam is having a huge sale on LucasArts games. Each day they'll offer a new game, starting with The Force Unleashed %75 off. 
 
What do you think? Is this game worth getting for such a low price, or would it be better to wait for better games during the rest of the week?

Sadly, don't own one. I should probably invest though since the battery in my 360 controller holds about two hours charge if I'm lucky.  30 gig though. Ouch. That's going to hammer my download allowance for the month. Bad times. "

Has fluid movements in most cases. I liked the feeling of just mercilessly bashing dudes with The Force and/or lightsaber.

Well I thought since it's titled "The LucasArts Week" and not "The StarWars Week" it will be LucasArts games in generell or am I missing something here? "

Fuck the force unleashed. I don't have 30 gigs to spare for one 8 hour game. What a fucktarded port.
 
 
And unless they have some more classic adventure games to announce on Steam later this week, the only thing I'll be getting is Monkey Island 2 SE.

I have the game and it's a perfectly fine port. Well, apart from taking up 30 GBs on your hard drive, obviously. It ran great on my computer anyway (which is not a beast by any stretch), but sadly it just wasn't a very good game. It's absolutely awesome up to a point; I mean, the very first level lets you play as fucking Vader, for gods sake! It feels great slashing down storm troopers and using your force powers but it eventually just devolves into recycled fucking content over and over again.  
It never changes up its style and the battles become more and more cumbersome and annoying to deal with, it has way too many platforming sections without ever feeling precise enough in the control department to justify them and the boss battles are all complete bullshit where you basically can't win without exploiting the game somehow.  
 
I never finished it, but I must have been at least 3/4's in. It's such a shame too because this game could have been so great. The story is one of the coolest Star Wars stories written yet (better than all of the prequels combined) and goes to some really interesting places. It reveals shit that makes you think about the original movies in a different light, actually.  
The first hour or two of the game had me convinced they had made the ultimate fucking Star Wars game, so it's not without remorse that I must recommend against buying this product.  
 
Here's to hoping that the sequel does the job right!

oh shit, Star Wars Knights of the old Republic for 2.25€.

Didn't get Force Unleashed because I heard it was mediocre and had technical issues, not getting KOTOR because I already have it. Here's to hoping they put the Lego games on sale.

I'm not sure. I think I remember it getting rather mediocre reviews. Obviously it's hard to go wrong when you're only paying 5€ for it, but considering you just got the universally hailed KOTOR for less than half that price ... "

OK, so today's sale is for Star Wars: Battlefront II, a game I know was very well recieved on the PS2 (and Battlefront 1 and 2 are games I've been planning on getting for my PS2). Does anybody know how good the PC port is compared to the PS2 version? Judging by the screen shots it looks a lot like a PS2 title.

At 4.50€ it isn't that much cheaper than the 5-6€ the PS2 version would cost, but I suppose some major benefits for the PC version would be the multiplayer and mod support (if there is any?).

Should I assume that tomorrow will be Adventure Day?

I'm extremely disappointed, not because of the quality of the games (which is nothing stellar, to be honest, except for KotOR), but because of the lack of variety. LucasArts is more than Star Wars, believe it or not. I really hope they have an adventure game (better yet, a pack) prepared for tomorrow.

I was expecting all LA adventure games though...oh well.

An OK deal I guess, Secret of Monkey Island was a preorder bonus for Monkey Island 2 so your saving €2.50. 4GB for the two games is kinda large but I guess HD art is pretty big 'ala' Shank.
