Got about $70 or so worth of stuff already. Mainly some indie games, Civ 5 Gods and Kings and Skyrim DLC. Yea I should have probably waited but I thought screw it hehe.

I'll wait with Mark of the Ninja (daily sale?), but I'm totally buyin' The Walking Dead!

Is that $12.49 copy of The Walking Dead all 5 episodes or is it just part 1?

@Deathshroud said:

I really hope Borderlands 2 goes on sale for more then 25% off . please oh please

That's what I'm contemplating as well. I could get it now but I almost want to wait.

Also, I'm probably getting KOTOR 2. I've heard good things about Audiosurf but I can't tell what the fuck it is.

Yep, I picked it up when it was 25 dollars and only 2 episodes were released and even playing though them I thought I got my moneys worth, the whole series is a steal for 12 bucks, like 13 hours of some of the best story telling in games.

FML... day one and I'm £25 down :/

also, whose brilliant idea was it to have TWO STEAM SALES with only a MONTH between? X-mas starts Dec 20 :/

Shit man, my girlfriend just got a "holiday" raise and now I have an excuse to call these Christmas gifts.

FUCK.

Does anyone know if Aquaria ever goes on sale ? I'd love to play it now , but not if it drops soon . It seems like it never does ..

I picked it up in one of the sales last year. I think it was a daily sale but it could've just been when nearly everything was on sale.

#107 Edited by Rodent (263 posts) -

I just picked up Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga for my daughters and I.

Also I'm keeping my eye on DeathSpank (that has never dropped below 50% off). Yeah not a bad price at all, but the Baconing is $4 so why not the original?

BTW anyone know if the original THE WITCHER supports 360 controller?

I also notice that RE5 isn't on sale. Cheap Capcom!

Wait, what happened?

#108 Posted by Terramagi (1158 posts) -

It did on release. I can't imagine that's changed.

Thinking about Torchlight II, but I have a feeling it will get cheaper during the week.

There is a good chance it will. Wait and see if it a daily or flash deal first. That's what I'm doing.
#110 Posted by Andorski (5366 posts) -

How was The Amazing Spiderman? It's a flash sale right now and I'm looking to sink my teeth into an open world game.

#111 Posted by Counterclockwork87 (743 posts) -

Witcher 2 enhanced for 12 dollars! That's a no-brainer, picked that up...

I don't think the original Witcher has controller support at all. The Witcher 2 does.

Steam refuses to take my credit card.

HERE, TAKE MY MONEY, DAMN YOU!

#114 Posted by TheMathlete (326 posts) -

I picked up The Walking Dead for 50% off and just finished the first episode. Great game. I'm thinking about picking up Endless Space but I'm not entirely sure if I'll really get into it. Haven't played a serious 4x (except some Civ 5 which I liked). Has anyone else played it? What did you think of it?

#115 Posted by Icemo (659 posts) -

Finally bought The Walking Dead. Time to see what the fuss is all about...

#116 Posted by Capum15 (5002 posts) -

Grabbed X-COM: Enemy Unknown because why not. Nothing else yet.

Picked it up too, I kind of had already decided that I would pick up the game when all episodes were out so now seems like a good time.

#118 Posted by The_Big_Rough (243 posts) -

Picked up Walking Dead, looking at getting Darksiders 2 but might wait till Xmas.;

Unless you've entirely run out of games to play, you could just wait until the Boxing Week sale, where it's basically guaranteed that you will be able to buy the same games at the same discount, or an even better discount.

It is kind of pointless having these sales so close together, when Steam is a digital storefront, and digital goods are almost always something people buy for themselves.

#120 Posted by BeachThunder (12437 posts) -

Hm, Dead Island or RAGE?

#121 Posted by The_Big_Rough (243 posts) -

Well have not played Dead Island so will be buying that, but can say RAGE was pretty fucking shit lol

#122 Posted by VisariLoyalist (3000 posts) -

Rage for 5$, even just as a tech demo that seems worth it to me

that's not a bad idea. thankfully I cancelled the purchase at the last minute, just got Intrusion 2 on flash deal. I though to wait for flash deals but maybe your idea is better.

Still, I'm aiming for the -75% discounts anyway, so not sure it can be cheaper. damn steam, so many uncertainties, so many games, so little time and money :/

Dead Island

#124 Posted by DjCmeP (1148 posts) -

Is RAGE any good? I don't have much money to spend on this sale so should I wait for something good or just buy RAGE?

#125 Posted by Cashewual (163 posts) -

Somewhat tempted to get Dead Island GOTY:Edition, 7 euros seems kind of worth it.

@BeachThunder said:

Dead Island offers more value for your money since it has way more content than RAGE. Also truck wars!

#127 Posted by jozzy (2035 posts) -

Damnit, Max Payne for $15. I already have too many games to play...

#128 Posted by Breadfan (6590 posts) -
#129 Posted by CornBREDX (6059 posts) -

I got The Darkness 2 and Mark of the ninja so far. I don't want anymore games this year so there had better not be anything better on sell dammit =P

I don't think the original Witcher has controller support at all. The Witcher 2 does.

I have a medical condition where I sometimes fail to notice numbers and the relevance they might hold.

It's an ongoing struggle.

#131 Posted by Andorski (5366 posts) -

I don't remember a single thing about the story in Max Payne 1 & 2 and have no desire to replay them. Is Max Payne 3 still worth getting for $15?

#132 Edited by ki11tank (683 posts) -

Rage is an errand boy game, it's like borderlands but minus the fun... was just bored with it after two hours and that was today...

Max Payne 3 imo is the best of all of them, easily worth $15, gritty, fun and good story/shooting.

so far I bought The Witcher 2 at 60% off, just to support them a bit, already played it and it was great. everything I haven't already played looks pretty shitty or not cheap enough for me to piss away if i hate it after 20 minutes.

#133 Posted by valrog (3648 posts) -

Got Max Payne 3. To hell with my backlog, downloading it right away.

#134 Posted by Sanity (1951 posts) -

Nothing in todays sale, i picked up Serious Sam 3 yesterday to check that out though. Im hoping for TL 2 still but it its not a sale i'll grab it for 15 bucks at the end.

#135 Posted by MentalDisruption (1670 posts) -

Well I caved in and picked up Sleeping Dogs. Going to try my best to wait for the winter sale before draining my wallet any further.

I picked up Max Payne 3, as well. Hoping it to be better than GTAIV is shaping up to be. Still hoping to see a few games go on sale:

  • Arkham City DLC
  • Hotline Miami
  • GTA: San Andreas
  • Dishonored

Edit: got Hotline Miami for 5 dolla.

#137 Posted by Brake (1131 posts) -

Got Hotline Miami. That game is baller as hell. I've been listening to the soundtrack for a few weeks now, so getting around to actually playing it is cool.

I might still get FTL if that's on sale, but seeing as it isn't discounted at all right now, I'm not super hopeful.

As of now I've got Max Payne 3 and Hotline Miami, spent 16,5 euro. Kinda tempted to get Mark of the ninja too...

#140 Posted by TwoLines (2841 posts) -

Ha! Who waited on Mark of The Ninja daily sale? Me, that's who! I knew it!

...Well, it's only 5 euro, but I love small victories.

#141 Posted by Deathshroud (371 posts) -

Borderlands 2 Is on sale for 50% off ..but I have to pass it up now even after waiting for it. I hit my spending/budget limit when i got Dishonored and KoA:Reckoning for 30 bucks between the two of them. Guess I will have to wait until Winter sale.

#142 Posted by Nights (619 posts) -

Very happy with the daily deals today as I was looking to pick up F1 2012 and Mark of The Ninja. Bummed I missed Hotline: Miami at 50% off, but it's so cheap that it doesn't really matter.

#143 Edited by WilltheMagicAsian (1542 posts) -

Man, these Steam sales are getting less and less exciting now that I own pretty much everything I'd want off their service, besides the newer titles of course. I think GMG and Amazon had way more interesting deals. Even though in the end it all ties back to Steam.

#144 Posted by Grilledcheez (3958 posts) -

Bought Dead Island, Hotline Miami, and...Fable 3 for some reason!

#145 Edited by Sanity (1951 posts) -

I still managed to add to my backlog, but i spent less then 60 bucks so im happy with what i got and what i paid for it.

Torchlight 2 - 10 bucks

mark of the Ninja - 7.50

Elemental: Fallen Enchantress - 20 bucks

Serious Sam 3 BFE & DLC - 12.50

I also picked up Sleeping Dogs for 13.60 on GMG along with Krater for like 5 bucks.

So around 60 bucks this sale, theres a few things i passed on because i dont have time for what i got let alone more stuff, i really need to lay off on the Christmas sale but i know i wont.

#146 Posted by charlie_victor_bravo (1047 posts) -

Hmm. Civilization 5 Gods and Kings is 75% off... Must resist.

#147 Edited by GetEveryone (4458 posts) -

So, is there still going to be a Winter/Christmas sale?

Seems awfully late for Autumn, though, I suppose it still is technically...

Has Dark Souls had a daily deal yet? I've been holding out on that, but I may just jump in. Think it's currently 33% off, which is pretty decent.

#148 Posted by Kiri90 (267 posts) -

@GetEveryone: Amazon had it for $14.99 on Black Friday, so maybe Steam will try to do a matching sale as a flash deal or something.

There's probably going to be a Christmas sale. At this point, unless a purchase is insanely cheap, I'd wait until then. Dark Souls has been cheaper than that before and will probably be cheaper then as well.

Yeah, i seem to be in the same boat as you... Gahhh.... must not buy, spent too much already on other games (TorchLight 2, Metro 2033, Orcs Must Die 2 complete, and Quantum Conundrum).
