I am really tempted to just buy every package deal and good game thats going so cheap, this deal is huge. But I have relatively little HDD space compared to the sheer number of good games on sale. Think I will definately be buying BioShock again, sold my retail copy but have been meaning to buy it again.

Left 4 Dead is 25% off.

I just picked up L4D, HL1 and both expansions, and Doom 2 for about $50.
I was already planning on getting L4D, so pretty much I just got free stuff.

The sale goes on until January 2nd, too.  That's pretty cool.  I think I'll pick up STALKER and see if it'll work on the laptop.

Are you into any RTS games btw Hamz? I'm getting back into them now, and after buying the THQ Relic pack, Dawn of War, Company of Heroes....imo the best RTS's released in the last couple years, none that came out recently even comes close to their quality. They've also upped the quality I expect in an RTS now, just in general, which is why I don't care at all about something like Startcraft 2. They evolved the genre so much with Dawn of War and CoH, I just can't go back to that kind of gameplay anymore. Anyway, amazing games if you're into RTS at all..(someone will quote that and say Sins of a Solar Empire, but its way more than just an RTS so I'm not counting it, its part rt4x/rts, amazing game, but not everyone can take quite how much there is to do in it.)

I both like and dislike RTS games. I bought the DoW pack, except the Soulstrom expansion, awhile ago and while I enjoyed it and can't complain about it. I just found myself getting bored after awhile. Its a problem I have with most, if not all, RTS games.....I just get bored of them after so long. That being said this deal is, for lack of a better word here, epic in all proportions.

BioShock is an utter steal at the moment, same with pretty much every other game on sale, but BioShock in particular caught my eye at such a low price.

It was at 5 dollars in various points of the year. I think I actually bought Bioshock for 20 dollars in the summer, then a couple days later they had a spotlight where it was 5 dollars. I think there was another discount weekend when it was 5 dollars too. Oh well, the developers deserve to get as much money as they can get.

It had a fine year. No worse than normal. Stop trolling. Valve does deals constantly. To say it like you:

That's one of the dumbest comments I've heard.....Valve has been doing a Holiday sale like this for several years now, and every weekend(almost every weekend?) otherwise an entire list of games from a certain developer, or a certain game in general gets marked down usually 15-75% off.

They have some great ass deals on there and Steam is really starting to grow on me...spent $35 on 7 games yesterday and I may pick up some more before the sales ends. TF2 for $10 is quite tempting.

Get it! I went even further overboard the last week or so once EA put their games up there. I spent like 200 bucks on games on steam since then, few from EA, the THQ Relic pack,Bioshock,Spore, and Sam&Max Season 1and2. It was worth it though, anywhere else it would of probably been 350+ for what I ended up getting, especially the bundles of several games.

I likely will purchase TF2 even though I have no PC gaming buddies...that is the main reason I stopped playing PC games. Playing with random people on PC is no better than playing with randoms on XBL...I don't care what anyone says, there is not much of a difference in douche-baggery.

Honestly if you haven't played TF2 or own a copy of it yet on the PC. Now is the time to buy it, there is really no excuse to not buy it at the current price. Lack of "buddies" or not it needs to be bought. And if you need PC buddies there is a group of hardcore TF2 players and general Steam users on GiantBomb anyway so play with them, get in on the Spy burning action!

Just bought BioShock and FarCry2. Seemed like FarCry2 was worth buying for around the £26 price for one of the "big titles" of 2008.

Besides Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, and Spore (and MMOs which always do well), I don't think there were any big PC game releases this year. L4D and F3 I hear both did well, and Spore...meh.

Red Alert 3? Same old shit, and DRM. Call of Duty 5? Low expectations from the beta. Stalker Clear Sky? Still the same bugs and crashes. GTA IV? Apparently a horrible port.
