Last years sale started on a Thursday. Time to get your hopes up based on guess!
the biggest "clue"at the moment (appart from all the indy devs saying their games will be in the summer sale) is that Team Fortress 2 got a new item today (yesterday?) called a Refreshing Summer Cooler, basically a new type of crate that you cant opne yet and expires on july the 11th. If the sale starts tomorow, not only would it start on a thursday like last year, but it would last the same 12 days it lasted last year (assuming it lasts until the 11th like the crate says, which makes sense since its a monday)

yes, because Steam puts season specific achievements in games when there aren't sales... whatever dude, i cant even be arsed to argue this. you believe whatever the fuck you want to believe, hows that?

I know how you feel. Every time I post on these forums I get a dickish reply (not you).
Depends on what is on sale. If it is on my wishlist and is half off, then yes, i'll buy it right away. And if it is a title that i kind of like and is 75% off, then yeah, i'll pick that up too... i find that i buy a lot of games on sale, even if i don't intend on playing them... i have trouble resisting sales...
when making the sale thread make sure to post the number 1 tip for Steam sales (especially for people who never had a sale), ONLY BUY FROM DAILY DEALS. everything else wait until the last day. Example, 2K catalog is 33% off or something the whole week, you rush to buy borderlands... only to find out its a daily deal the next day for 75% off.

Same here. Have to take into account a lot of things before buying something. But damn, I wish I could just go crazy and purchase. Everything. Well, not everything but you know what I mean. Then again, I like being rational when it comes to spending money.

I'm happy I haven't gotten into a habit of using my debit card to just buy anything I see. I know someone else who managed to buy an assload of Steam games on his over his first year of university and absolutely burned through all the cash in his bank account.
If VTM: Bloodlines drops to $10, I'll be buying that.

I doubt it will be a daily. The only reason it was discounted in the first place is because its part of the activision catalog, and the base price is still (astoundingly) $20, which suggests that someone forgot it ever existed. As I said though, probably will pick it up regardless because it's something I've been looking for for a while.
So far i bought killing floor, king arthur *role playing game*, lead and gold, oblivion, witcher 2, and oblivion.. so far im only looking for amnesia to hit lower then 10$ then im done... i hope >.<
