Jolly Rover and Puzzle Agent don't look all that great...
But I couldn't resist because of Recettear and Gish

" Omfg the new indie pack has Recettear and 4 other games for $4.99 GET IT NAOOW!!!!!!! "Yep, definitely worth it. I have AYIM, Gish and Jolly Rover, but not the other two. Anyway, my thoughts on those:
Picked up the Indie Story bundle. Don't really care about Jolly Rover or Puzzle Agent, but 4 quid for Gish, And Yet it Moves and Recettear is too good to pass up.
Yes, buy the Indie Story Pack! I already own Recettear and Gish, but it looks like it's worth double-dipping to get the rest. I wish it would let me give away the extra Gish and Recettear though. :(
Done." Omfg the new indie pack has Recettear and 4 other games for $4.99 GET IT NAOOW!!!!!!! "
Picked up Batman AA, never finished it on the Xbox for some reason, will be good to play it the way it was supposed to be experienced.
I already had gish, and yet it moves and puzzle agent but Recettear and Jolly Rover for five bucks is still a very good deal and I bought it anyway. Also, I got Arkham Asylum, finally. I'm still waiting for a good deal on Dragon Age Digital Deluxe Edition because the Ultimate isn't available in my region.
" Got the Indie bundle. Easy decision. Wonder if that Audiosurf is worth it? "Yup, I think so :D Also, if you didn't know, there's a demo. So you could go check that out.
Just picked up the Indie Story Bundle because I really wanted Puzzle Agent...so, $5 for Puzzle Agent and the rest are a free bonus. I'll take it, and all but one game in the pack works on my MacBook, too. Awesome.
Yesterday was Alpha Protocol...last week was San Andreas for $3.74...today the Indie Story Pack...tomorrow, probably something else. Oh well, at least I won't run out of games to play for quite some time.
" @kalmis said:Did actually try it. Didn't like it. Seems that it would have worked better with a controller." Got the Indie bundle. Easy decision. Wonder if that Audiosurf is worth it? "Yup, I think so :D Also, if you didn't know, there's a demo. So you could go check that out. "
I almost pulled the trigger on the deus ex pack - i already own the original but never played invisible war.
Im hoping they do what they usually do and on the last day have a mixture of everything they've already offered.
I noticed that Wednesday's indie pack is no longer available in the store, so it looks like you only get one day to buy each package. If you miss the discounted bundle, you won't be able to get them in a bundle at all. Something to consider.
Oh, and I wasn't overly concerned that people would miss out on the Indie Energy Pack. I'm more bummed out that the Indie Story Pack will be gone. It's a great package, even when it's not being sold at $5." Some mod deleted my thread about recettear, the pack is worth it for the game alone. Do get it. the sound track to the game was just released on cd baby too.
grabbed this list off the steam forums:
- Indie Air Pack: Altitude, DogFighter, Flotilla, Gratuitous Space Battles, Plain Sight
- Indie Clever Pack: Doc Clock: The Toasted Sandwich of Time, Eufloria, Iron Grip: Warlord, VVVVVV, World of Goo
- Indie Pulse Pack: Audiosurf, Beat Hazard, Bit Trip Beat, The Polynomial, Rhythm Zone
- Indie Puzzle Pack: Cogs, Droplitz, Puzzle Dimension, Shatter, Tidalis
- Indie Story Pack: And Yet It Moves, Gish, Puzzle Agent, Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale, Jolly Rover
All the packs are looking like good deals. "
I just tried the demo for Recetter and And Yet It Moves. Thse 2 games alone were enough reason to pick up the pack. It's an incredibl deal, picked it up in the last 20 minutes. I recommend checking it out if you are into quirky RPGs and can appreciate the complete anime styling of it. The translation is very enjoyable.
A new day brings new sales. Today's indie bundle is the Indie Clever Pack, containing:
Torchlight and Machinarium are must haves. If I didn't already have them then this would be a great day for sales. The rest of them are out of my price range of impulse buying. But yeah, reccomend those 2 games to everyone here. Go and buy them.
" Torchlight and Machinarium are must haves. If I didn't already have them then this would be a great day for sales. The rest of them are out of my price range of impulse buying. But yeah, reccomend those 2 games to everyone here. Go and buy them. "I second that, especially Machinarium.
I already bought it, but I can recommend Tropico 3 Gold to anyone who likes a good casual banana republic dictator simulation. It looks great and is fun to play. It's also a relatively forgiving building-sim, which is something I like as I don't want to micromanage everything in order to stay in the green. In Tropico you can pretty much build anything and make a profit(Though some things make you more money than other, ofcourse.)
Well... I don't know if I'm gonna pick any offer today. I only wanted the expansion to Tropico 3, I already have all the other games. I wanted VVVVVV but I already have world of goo and don't wan the others in the pack. So I'll wait to see if they give them a individual price cut on those in the next sale.
" @Teaspoon83: People have had plenty of chances to buy Torchlight, I'd rather see something else go on sale. "there's people joining steam all the the time and it's one of the best titles available for mac. but yeah, i think that for a shorter sale like this one that only has daily deals they could choose other games.
