There was a Steam summer sale last June, quite late in to the month. Can we expect something similar in the coming weeks? I eagerly await these massive sales. I already have roughly 50 steam games unfinished, but always want to buy more. It's an awful compulsion.

Steam Summer Sale?
I think it'll be the same time as last year - end of July, beginning of August. At least that's what some people in the Steam forums are saying.
@GaiaAthena: Last year it was end of june start of july

I can't wait. I'm at 390 games on steam (I've probably played twenty of them). Another summer sale could put me at 450!
As long as they have more facts like "X people are killed by sharks each year, 0 deaths have been reported as being caused by playing video games" then I'll be happy.
As long as they have more facts like "X people are killed by sharks each year, 0 deaths have been reported as being caused by playing video games" then I'll be happy. That fact will have to be altered slightly after that guy who played some MMO until he died from exhaustion. I wish I could link the article.
I guess this is going to be the official Steam Sale thread? Anyway, I'm really hoping to get Alpha Protocol heavily discounted.
For the sake of discussion, what is everyone else looking forward to getting heavily discounted?

I think that falls under deaths caused by being a complete idiot.
Oblivion with all the stuff. I want to give it another go before Skyrim comes outI guess this is going to be the official Steam Sale thread? I would probably prefer if there was no Summer Sale at all. I just cannot fight the urge to keep buying stuff I didn't really want. The Vinny Syndrome is in all of us.
I've been buying shit I don't really want on steam for the last three months, Summer Sale be damned.
I regret almost all of it. Mostly Brink. Fuck you, Brink.
I don't care if there's no Summer Sale this year. The Daily Deals have been getting better and better these past few weeks. Monday Night Combat for €2.80 yesterday, the Overlord Complete Pack (3 games) for €5 today. If they keep up the pace, I can make do with the Daily Deals.
