Is there anything you've got on your wishlist that you're holding off on buying because of the upcoming Steam Summer Sale?
I'm hoping for The Witcher 2 and Trials Evolution.
Rogue Legacy, Prison Architect, Kentucky Route Zero, & Antichamber are all on my wishlist. We'll see if it's worth biting!
I'm more likely to keep an eye on GMG from now on. They can't compete on the scale of sales Steam has during the summer and holidays but on individual games, especially newer ones they are incredible. Years of Steam sales have made it so i have all the big collections and bundles that matter to me and i've been buying games one at a time as they come out or go on sales for the first time since the last 18 or so months.
In any case, not much for me this summer. Maybe Tomb Raider, maybe Fez but otherwise i don't really see anything until later this year.
I've bought pretty much everything I've wanted from steam and plenty of stuff I didn't want. I think I'll take it easy this year if I spend any money at all.
CKII: The Old Gods, Borderlands 2 Season Pass and the Tom Clancy collection. I also want to see a deep (at least 50%) cut on Guild Wars 2 at another outlet sometime soon.
Nothing really comes to mind. A bunch of smaller indie games I guess. Stuff that looks neat, but that the $10-$15 price tag just seems to be too much.
Mars: War Logs. That game looks like it's held together by duct tape but it's interesting enough to be worth purchasing for a lower price.
I'm hoping for there to finally be a steep cut in DmC's price. Other than that, I've got a whole long wishlist of things that I'll be keeping an eye on.
Rouge Legacy
Fez
Surgeon Simulator
No Time To Explain
Borderlands 2 with all dlc (have the main game for ps3 but if it goes 20 or 30 ill buy it again)
and other smaller indie games
@strife777: It's only ten bucks on gamersgate if you don't want to wait for steam =/
Nothing big, but there are a lot of smaller $10-20 games that I'm looking to save money on before I buy them.
Dust An Elysian Tale looks fantastic. Otherwise, I'm holding out for the Steam version of Castlevania Lords of Shadow in August.
I have so many Steam games from past sales I can't even think of what I want until I see the deals. Maybe a deal on Prison Architect but it's weird to see games still in Alpha go on sale.
For those saying Borderlands 2 just a heads up that Amazon has a pretty good deal on it right now. They all come with Steam keys as well.
Basically Borderlands 1 GOTY edition, Borderlands 2, Borderlands 2 season pass for $22 total. The extra character classes aren't included but they are on sale for $5 each also.
The past couple of Steam sales I've bought pretty much everything I've wanted that's on Steam, the Game of Thrones rpg is the only thing I can think of that I want to go on sale. There's a couple of indie games also but they are cheap enough that I can buy them whenever.
Edit: I've thought of something, Borderlands 2 DLC, I haven't bought any of it yet and I have been meaning to get back into that game.
I can't play any steam games until my computer is fixed, which will take weeks, and I can't buy anything until my job situation is resolved. So I hope NOTHING goes on sale, because if I can't enjoy it then no one can.
Barring that... sales on DmC, The Swapper, Gunpoint, Night of the Rabbit, Runner 2, Rogue Legacy, Antichamber, Kentucky Route Zero, From Dust, Fractal, Homefront, Chaos on Deponia, Ys I, and Dyad.
Adventures of Van Helsing is the big one for me, but if I see something I'd like and it's cheap enough, then I might pick something else up as well.
Dead Rising 2, Dust: An Elysian Tale, FEZ, Metro: Last Light, Resident Evil (franchise), Zeno Clash II, Kentucky Route Zero, Monaco, and Skulls of the Shogun.
I will probably end up impulse buying some daily deals.
I was hoping for Borderlands 2, but I looked at some gameplay today and realized I probably won't like Borderlands 2 after not liking Borderlands 1.
So right now it's:
That's it so far. I don't expect to get those all, but it's what I'm interested in.
Maybe, maybe Black Ops 1 and 2, but only if I can get em both for real cheap as I only really play the single-player in those games.
@truthtellah: Dang you beat me to it. I came in here to say just that!
EVERYTHING!!!
I'm mostly interested in the SE/Eidos stuff (Hitman, Sleeping Dogs, Tomb Raider) that I played on 360 but would really like to see running on my PC.
I'm hoping No Time To Explain goes on sale, cos yo... that'd probably work out pretty nice.
What sort of say do you have in that?
I can set the maximum sale price of the game in Steam at any time, but I don't know how they decide who is in the sale.
We've been notified on the date of the sale in advance, and we plan to organize a gameplay update at the same time. We're relying on the trend of games getting a promotion boost and sales spike on Steam when they update with new content, so we'll make the most of the sale.
@i_smell: So, um, when are you planning on releasing this update? :P
