I don't know how I feel about this.
- Plants vs Zombies - 65 hours.
- Civ 5 - 41 hours.
- Blood Bowl (Dark Elf Edition + Legendary Edition) - 37 hours.
- Jade Empire - 32 hours.
- Torchlight - 24 hours.
I don't know the exact hours. Steam wont connect to my internet so it wont fetch any of that data, but I think it's:
TF2, CS:S, CS 1.6 and BF2 probably have way more than that actually. I started playing them like a year or two before Steam started tracking hours played.
Street Fighter 4 (Series - All Versions all Platforms) 2500+ hours, Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition (Steam only) - 500 hours
Borderlands 2 82 hours
Street Fighter x Tekken and Darksiders 2 73 hours
Sleeping Dogs 41 hours
Darksider 1 33 hours.
1. L.A. Noire- 159 hours
2. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim- 95 hours
3. Saints Row: The Third- 64 hours
4. The Witcher- 43 hours
5. Fable: The Lost Chapters- 35 hours
L.A. Noire, and Fable are definitely not accurate as I left them on for a while once. The Witcher is more around 27 hours, but the other two are accurate.
This was really enlightening to actually look at:
skyrim - 191
tf - 174
amnesia - 54
left 4 dead 2 - 52
dota 2 - 34
i added all the /played on my wow characters two years ago, and i had more than a year's worth of time logged in to them... and that was two years ago.
Buncha lightweights in here. Lemme you show you how it's done, sugar:
Garry's Mod is the only surprising one on here as I haven't actually played that in the past year. I guess I played the fuck out of it when it came out?
EDIT: I guess this thread is hella old and maybe you guys aren't lightweights anymore?
Not surprised about it being so strategy heavy, but I really didn't expect TSW to be up there. Bought that one on a whim last Christmas after it went subscription free but I never felt that I played it that much. Guess I actually did.
1. Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition: 53 hrs on record
2. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: 53 hrs on record
3. Sid Meier's Civilization V: 52 hrs on record
4. Borderlands 2: 47 hrs on record
5. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind: 46 hrs on record
Steam hasn't always tracked hours so the stats aren't fully accurate. Missing a few hundred hours of CS Source, TF2 etc. But here's the list:
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, 231 hrs
Sid Meier's Civilization V, 140 hrs
Thief 2, 74 hrs
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, 64 hrs
Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, 62 hrs
I think most of those are pretty self-explanatory so I'll just add a few words about the thing that stands out like a soar thumb.
Look, Thief 2 is pretty fucking 'mazing. By the end of that game the developers kind of outstayed their welcome - feels like their level designers got bitten by the "oh god we have to ship this game right now"-bug and even though I enjoyed it for what it was, there's some incredible stuff made by the modding community. It's also one of the few games I enjoy playing on the highest difficulty setting due to its solid gameplay. I can sometimes spend upwards of 2+ hours on a single mission, so the time adds up quickly.
For me its:
Star Trek Online - 355hrs
Eve Online - 80hrs
Star Wars Galaxies - 69hrs
Borderlands - 60hrs
Defiance - 21hrs
All that said, i only just started using Steam properly a few years ago, ive probably played the first 3 games way more than that but that is all ive captured since migrating all my games over to Steam. Still...355hrs on STO is scary...especially when i know thats only since i started using it through this app lol
Dota 2: 75 hrs
Sleeping Dogs: 54 hrs
Just Cause 2: 35 hrs
Team Fortress 2: 31 hrs
Civilization V: 27 hrs
This doesn't show my World of Warcraft times - which is astronomical...
Is it sad that Rogue Legacy is my 6th most played game? Still stuck on that blob boss...
1- Team Fortress 2 100 hours (but actually played a total of 175 hours)
2- Call of Duty Black Ops Multiplayer 109 hours
3- NBA 2k12 103 hours
4- Red Alert 3 72 hours
5- Dragon Age: Origins 54 hours
I've played way too much Star Wars The Old Republic. Good thing it's not showing up here. lol
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Multiplayer - 249 hrs on record
DiRT 3 - 243 hrs on record
Call of Duty: Black Ops - Multiplayer - 230 hrs on record
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Multiplayer - 225 hrs on record
Call of Duty: Black Ops II - Multiplayer - 224 hrs on record
I think CoD4 would have more but I had a boxed copy for that before steam was really a force, also my WoW characters have far to much time on them as well as my FFXI character
I had to show off my 6th pick as it will soon have ALOT more hours since I am going to finish all the achievs here very shortly. FYI, CS has 1/3rd the hours I actually played same with L4D2 as Valve reset my time twice since I have had steam and those 2 seem to be the ones who get hit.
Hours aren't 100% accurate, such as Arma 2, I played many more hours of that using Arma-2 launcher to launch my mods which doesn't launch steam and games all other games are subjected to me just being AFK or leaving my PC on overnight and forgetting they are running.
