Take Street Fighter into "the future" in this strange 1990 NES release.

Overview

Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight is a futuristic action-platform game that was released in 1990 for the Nintendo Entrainment System by Capcom. The game is a sequel to the 1987 game, Street Fighter.

Plot

Subtitled "The Final Fight," Street Fighter 2010 follows the adventures of a fighter-turned-scientist named Ken, who is presumed to be Ken Masters from Capcom's fighting series. When his friend Troy is killed and their "cyboplasm" is unleashed upon an unsuspecting universe, Ken must bionically enhance himself and teleport from one arena to the next, punching everything that gets in his way.

Gameplay

 The Vs. screen.
The player takes control of Ken as he's teleported to random locations. The player can shoot out projectiles in three different direction, right, left and up.  The projectiles at first are short range but can be powered up to shoot at a longer distance. Other power-ups include the ability to do a somersault attack.

Each level will assigned the player a "target" that the player must eliminate. Some levels will drop the player into a level where the target is immediately presented, but others will have the player go through a platform level with the boss at the end.

Japanese Version

The Japanese version of the game, the player character is named Kevin, further separating Street Fighter 2010 from any actual Street Fighter canon.
