    Here's a random assortment of SFIV player matches from my 20+ against Fei Long (Phenomenon08). He won the majority of them, but that's ok.

      

    I love recording my matches because it becomes blatantly obvious what I'm doing wrong. Just a couple random bullet points here.

    • He kept closing in ridiculously fast with that dash and rekkas which made me a bit scared to throw air fireballs after a while.
    • I kept using the same c.LK, s.LP - tick throw setup whenever I'd close the gap.
    • I'd always be compelled to s.HK when he's waking up, which usually resulted in a flame kick to my face.
    • Sometimes I'd teleport into harms way instead of out of it.
    • It's super hard to cross this guy up, he put the fear of Fei into me.
    •  I kept on doing dive kicks out of demon flip, need to mix it up.
    •  Need to start incorporating fireballs and c.MP into my combos.
    •  Poke out c.HK far too often, wrecks my shit.
    •  Where are the resets? Pfft.
    •  Red fireballs at mid-range? What am I thinking?
    •  I always misjudge the range of the various demon flips.
    •  I don't ever down+fierce to anti-air..
    •  Why do I always opt for the throw instead of a guaranteed beefy combo? (ex. When Fei whiffs a flame kick)

    That's about it, I'll add more later if I think of any.

    Yeah, there were some other good matches from this set but I wanted to keep it under 20 minutes. He caught some ultras through my fireballs, etc.

    PureRok plays a pretty mean Cammy. I'd like to fight you as well, if I could. I usually play Akuma myself, but I'd be willing to switch it up for variety's sake.

    At 12:45...THAT is exactly what you need to be using against those burning kicks every time.  That was an excellently executed combo, Lord.


    Also, there were a lot of times when you popped your teleports and ended up right next to him because, from what it looked like to me, you were expecting him to do that flip kick of his.  Remember that your teleport is a huge asset for getting out of combo range and into your own red fireball range rather than just jump back and forth.  I could see that it was all just nerves and trying to anticipate Fei's stuff.

    All of those were excellent matches, especially the second set of matches in the video.  Those were INCREDIBLY well-fought.

    Once I can get better on my focus cancels, I'll try to take you on...and then work my way to MB again.  = D

    Good matches so far man. I'd like to have a go at you and your friend sometime if possible. You can check out some of my vids on YouTube if you look up AxxesS9000. I have a set of 16 that's just me versus my friend DarkCatalyst's Akuma.

    Yeah, that link from s.HK to c.LK has some weird timing, especially online. But the c.LK is definitely better than c.LP, mainly because it has deceptive range.
