The title says it all. I basically bought this as soon as I saw it on the App Store. I didn't read any reviews, and only saw one or two videos of the game in action. I'm glad I wasn't disappointed. I'm really impressed with how well this plays using the touch screen; I could mostly pull some pretty complex combos with ease, but there were some rare occasions when it was difficult to even do a Hadoken. My only gripe with this is that it doesn't have an online multiplayer mode. It does have a bluetooth multplayer mode, however. I can only hope Capcom will acknowledge our demand for an online multiplayer mode and include it in a future update.
This might not have the depth of the console version, but the fact that I now have an excellent SFIV port on my iPhone to play on the go is enough to keep me happy. For those of you who have a PSP, I think it's a good idea that you wait for the rumored PSP port since it's bound to be even better than this one. If you don't have a PSP, however, and you've got an iPhone then I would definitely recommend that you check this out.
Street Fighter IV
Game » consists of 9 releases. Released Jul 18, 2008
After nearly a decade in hiatus, Capcom's signature mainline fighting game series resurfaces with its fourth main installment, combining the traditional 2D gameplay with modern fully-3D graphics.
I got SFIV for the iPhone.. It's awesome.

I saw it and wanted to download it right away. However im overdrawn already on my credit card so looks like ill be waiting a few weeks.
What characters can you be in the game? Do you need to unlock characters?
@AaronAlex: You can either input the full ultra command as in the console version (QCF,QCF+P for example), or just simply tap the ultra button on the top right corner of the screen.
@JJOR64: Yeah, I wish they had included E.Honda, Zangief, Balrog, Vega, Sagat and Akuma. That combined with online play would've made this the best portable fighter ever. You never know with iPhone apps though, they can always add stuff with a simple update in the future. This is why I recommend waiting for the PSP version if you have one (and if the rumors are true that there will be a PSP port) since it's likely to have more characters, an online mode and even better graphics (although the graphics in this one are very impressive for an iPhone game).
I got it for my phone also. Have to say its not that bad. Im still getting used to the controls but I dont regret the decision. Now all I have to do is find someone else to play with.
" @Legend: Can you plug in a fight-stick though? "This. Without an arcade stick I would never play Street Fighter.
probably the first app I've paid more than $4 for and I don't regret it one bit. I was pretty skeptical at first but after reading how decent it it I figured why not. It's totally STREET FIGHTER ON YOUR PHONE. I can see it growing old pretty fast and I wish I had someone else to play multiplayer with.
The controls are actually very good for what it is. I like how they let you rearrange the entire layout, however you want which is nice. The fact that you can SRK->FADC->ultra with ryu on your phone is insane.
" @REDRUN said:Seriously though, this is a portable version meant for entertainment, not competition. I'm sure people won't frown upon the great ultima if he bought the sf4 app...just sayin'." @Legend: Can you plug in a fight-stick though? "This. Without an arcade stick I would never play Street Fighter. "
