I was surfing the web over at streetfighter4.us and i noticed that Justin Wong was giving private lessons. At first I was thinking "Why would i do this when i could watch his matches on sites like youtube and get a general idea of what to do in certain situations?" Then i really didnt understand when i read that he was charging for it. $20 for a lesson? Then $10 for repeating customers? No thank you Mr. Wong Ill stick to youtube.

Private lessons from Justin Wong?

Haha that ironic!
I wouldn't spent money getting good at SFIV, it's not worth it. For SFIII, now that's a whole other story.
Honestly these lessons are for those that cannot pick out thier own weakness and feel they have plateaued in street fighter skills. 20 bucks ain't that bad since you get Justin's full attention and time to increase your game. Youtube can only teach you so much, but for most of us, youtube will be enough.

"Lol it`s a fucking game bottom line. This is ridiculous."So what you're trying to say is that it's easy to win all those fighting game tournaments?
Any sport couldn't be considered anything more or less than a game, games just haven't been accepted in the mainstream as a 'proper sport' as yet but this is evolving, slowly but surely.
I charge £15 for a guitar lesson of which I take 10 a week, yet I provide people with video tutorials for free. I can't see why this is any different tbh - whether it is a 'physical' sport, learning an instrument or getting good at a game it's a skill all the same and the guy has every right to give private lessons; he's good and there's no denying that. There is a major difference between watching a video and getting private tuition though, and in that respect it is worth the price if you wish to be good at it.
I just got done attending the SF Nation Finals, Justin won it. He used Rufus, so I suggest you do the lessons and make sure you have a video capture during the lesson. I talked to a couple of different players who took the lessons with him say he does a good job or he wouldn't offer it. In the short session, I got wrecked, he pointed out a ton of stuff I could improve on.
If you do plan on doing it, your Rufus game will improve by 10x. I thought your Rufus was good, then I saw Justin beasting him. HOLY SHIT. I can see all the Sagats and Balrogs hiding.
Eh, that's pretty fair price, it'd be like getting training tips from an Olympic athlete for a day. I'd pay $10 just to play with the guy a couple times on XBL.
"That's pretty genius on Justin's part."Yeah charging for an educational service, who would have ever thought it.... Genius indeed!

"Fr0Br0 said:I'm not saying it isn't necessary. What I'm saying is that it is smart for him to turn his skill of a game into a business."Keyser_Soze said:People charge money for piano lessons or chess lessons, both of which are just hobbies like playing SF4 is.
