Please choose the character you use the most, or if you don't use one more than any others, pick the one you think you are best with. This poll uses the American names, not the Japanese ones.

Ryu at the moment. He was the easiest to pick up and play so I stuck with him.

I started with Ryu as well, but now I play Gouken exclusively. Ryu is easy to learn the basics with because his moves are few and simple, but he definitely viable at higher levels as well. There is no reason you can't stick with him unless you get bored or another character catches your interest.

Gouken. I wouldn't consider myself that good with him, being new and all, so I'm still trying to learn him properly, though I love his directional fireballs and his counters.

Started with Sagat, experimented with Fei Long/Cammy/Balrog/Akuma, ended with Sagat.

Start countering ultras and supers, you'll love Gouken even more.

@Tylea002: Gouken can't counter ultras or supers that are grabs or have armor-breaking properties.

I main Akuma. I still play Cammy/Gouken/Fei-Long on the side though, but Akuma is my main guy.

The only character I've ever won online playing as is Fei-Long. No idea why, but I guess he's my guy.

Lol, yup. I've seen a few of those, they're all great. It's true that a lot of new players use Ken, but that doesn't bother me, really.

El Fuerte is really fun but I wouldn't be able to main him cause I lose so damn much with him. I did manage to win a G2 tourney with him but not much else.
I usually pick Abel though.

C. Viper. I kinda decided I wanted to learn how to play with the new characters, and while I never got the handle of El Fuerte and Rufus, I really enjoyed Abel and quickly fell in love with Viper. I just really appreciate the different levels that her attacks can take, and how I can cross-up depending on which variant of her specials I use. Plus, I got a soft spot for chicks in suits.

Well keep in mind, this is the GB community.

If this was the entirety of XBox Live, I suspect the Ken percentage would be like 33%. If not higher.

I used to play as Sakura alot, her moves are badass. I ended up with Sagat, he's really fun to play as for me and simple too because all this special moves are towards the enemy. When I want to mix it up a bit I'll play as Cammy or Bison, though.

I main Cammy, which is weird, because I avoided her like the Plague back in the SFII days. I always used Dhalsim and Blanka back then, as they were difficult to master...but it would make a man cry if you stomped their asses with them.

Coming into SFIV, however, I'm not satisfied at all with the way Dhalsim plays. He still has the correct "speed", so to speak (read: fucking slow as molasses), but for some reason, it's more...floaty...in SFIV. I hate that. As for Blanka, I'm just not happy with how they've worked his charge moves. = /

Cammy, on the other hand, was like a breath of fresh air for me. She has such a small arsenal of moves, so it's fun to try and make the most out of it.

I'd REALLY like to get good with Gen, though. I never see ANY Gens online, and it would just seem like an "oh shit, what the fuck do I do" kind of moment when a Gen finally shows up online! lol

Actualy, no. I don't. I'm scared of anyone who even says they're a decent Gen.
