Meat and potatos aka Ryu. He's such a solid player I really wasn't ready for him to be honest.

Way to go HairyMike. If I knew how to play against Ryus and Kens, maybe I could have made it a round further. Oh well.

Thanks guys and thanks to lordofultima and eightbitwarrior for putting together this tournament and to everyone who participated. There were some great matches and I wish I could have played against everyone or at least seen everyone play. We will have to do this again soon. 

Congrats HairyMike, we deff have to do this again when the tournament update comes out so we can all watch the matches.

If I ever organize a tournament, the first rule is NO FUCKING KEN.  (and yes I'm even going to put "Fucking" in it) Man I'm so sick of fighting against him online.

Did anyone in the tournament use one of the new characters? I know I don't see many people using the new characters when just playing randoms online.

Ken is a pretty fantastic character, and I sort of want to use him but feel like a loser because everyone else picks him.

I'll hop in a GB tourney in a few months gotta get mah Fei Long up to par in SFIV.

I just don't have a handle on how to beat Ryu and Ken, so I hate them. On a brighter note, I'm proud to be one of one Chun Li players online. HOORAY ME.

so ive played about 50 online matches and only versed 2 kens and no ryus. and boy did hairymike whoop my ass.

I have played 2 or possibly 3 players who were Abel in Ranked thus far and they are the only matches I have done.  Some people will tend to go for Ryu or Ken but I am quite crap with them and I go with Blanka.

Twas a good tourney and wish there was a spectator mode since it would be nice to watch some exciting matches besides your own. 

My online character is C.Viper, so it might have been interesting to face me!

I think I have a pretty good handle on Ryu and Ken over any other opponents, especially chargers.

I think El Fuerte is the character I've seen the least in both SP and Online MP.

I actually saw someone playing ROSE today. Craziest thing. Also funny, the player had like 500 BP and was pretty awful. I mean, I've got 1000 now and I'm awful, but man this guy was terrible. I perfected him the first round, second he only got a soul spark off. It was cool though, to play against Rose.

Hey, if it's in the game its allowed. I used Ken in this and I use Ken all the time, he's my best character. If you have a problem with him, just beat him."

Haven't been checking the GB forums much the last few months, didn't even know this tournament was going on.  Signed up for MaSuTa's tournament but now that it's actually started Hulk can't participate due to hardware problems.  But Hulk could have been in this one instead.  Sucks that Hulk had to miss out.  ;(

More of you fuckers should tell Hulk about these things in IRC.  D:<

Nice.  Congrats to all that participated and good job on whoever made that sweet bracket.  Damn, that's slick.
