So I decided to remove my buttons and joystick from the ol' fightstick again, I wasn't happy with the metal finish the stick had, and I had put some artwork on it a while ago, and I wasn't happy with that either. So as I was sanding the metal down to remove the old glue that was on it, it became all shiny like and amazing looking. Damn son!

@Jake_K: Under no circumstances would I wear a white suit, so nope, not happening. Especially since that white suit is made by madcatz, i.e. sleeve randomly tears off when you're taking the suit jacket off. Would be all black if I had more than 6 sanwa buttons.
How could you say such a thing!? I love the looks of them! So very awesome... Maybe you'd prefer a meshball instead, then. And are you considering adding some type of artwork to your stick or are you sticking with the shiny metallic face it has now? And the buttons that were used to replace the old ones are OBSFs, right? It still looks good, though. Ever wonder about making a custom for yourself?
@FluxWaveZ: I have an incompleted custom stick, so yes I've more than thought about it. But no, I dislike artwork which is why I removed the SE artwork in the first place. The artwork I applied myself before recently removing it was nothing more than red laminated cardstock. Nothing like cold metal under your hands. If I were to put anything on it it would probably be a sheet of carbon fiber, then something like a mesh ball would probably match it. But fancy balls are extra money and that's no good.
@lordofultima: So you're more for the functionality than the aesthetic, I would say. Or rather, the functionality is more important and the aesthetic comes in second place for you. I dunno, when I eventually make a stick I want it to be beautiful and personalized to the extreme. Even though you don't look at your stick when you're playing and it's ultimately not that important, I just need it to look good! Maybe when I actually start building my own, my tone will change.
@FluxWaveZ: Well the aesthetic is pretty important, it's just that clutter annoys me. Like Jake_K has said, I enjoy the comicon art because it's not specific to anything, it's just a subtle design that matches the hardware on the stick.
Simple makes it stand out imo, another glossy artwork of Akuma with his back facing you, not so much. I'm actually pretty bummed that I didn't think about what I was doing here more, since I should have probably protected the surface of the metal with something, as it's going to get scratches from the dust washer, and acidic deposit from my hands resting on it. I'd also like a sanwa bat top, since they don't look exactly like an American bat top, they actually look pretty cool.

I did a very minimalist artwork on my personal custom stick, but it depends, ive made others that i liked a lot even with crazy art. Personal cammy stick
mine! simple art imo looks best, my friend dislikes it because it doesnt have bright colors and buttons, to each his own. I like the brushed steel on yours ultima! better than most of the SE mods i see thats for sure!
@lordofultima: You prefer a bat top to a ball top? I've never really paid attention to which I like better when I've went to the arcade...
And I totally understand the appeal of a stick looking clean and simple, but an artwork, like the one Renahzor posted, can look simple and also be great! I'm not particularly fond of that wood finish... Here's an example of one that would appeal to me a bit more... It probably looks more like a "toy" than the one you posted, but I dunno, I just like it more:
Nice, I like what you've done with it, I prefer this clean minimal look as opposed the shite SE's artwork. Have you thought about engraving it with the SF4 logo?, it would look pretty darn cool if it was done by a professional engraver.
I will actually be getting one of these SE's also, for Tatsunoko Vs Capcom in January, not through choice though. I will be modding it with the best components.

I am trying desperately to break out of my vicious Street Fighter IV cycle, by playing a crapton of SSFIITHDR, and moving on with modern games.
