From Capcom themselves (Seth Killian), they had just posted a new tier list based on data from Japan. Don't take it too seriously though since Dhalsim won nationals in Japan not too long ago and he's not exactly ranked high. There's a Chun-li thread around as well that I posted Chun-li raping Sagat as well, so it all ultimately come down to the person playing.

I play as Zangief so its cool he's  pretty high tier. btw does any one find it weird that ken is mid teir yet all the noobs love him

Bison and Blanka are the characters I use online. I just love beating people who play Sagat or Ryu/Ken.

It makes me proud to see Dan so high.

This is kind of funny after that 1UP video before the US release that had those players saying how high tier they thought Rose was going to be.  Remember all that "sham wow" nonsense in that video?

Cammy under Dan? Seriously?

At least Cammy is consistent; straight fives all the way across except for Sagat and Seth. It's pretty interesting since I actually find Sagat a fairly easy fight and I play Cammy, same with Seth.

Can't help noticing Bison, Vega and Balrog have got their names mixed up (unless Balrog has started using a claw or something). Should that be Vega at the bottom, or are the names in brackets just on the wrong characters?

What are these lists based on?
As I get it, a character that a lot of people use has a better chance at being in the top.
I mean.. I use Rose, but I have never met her online.

Bison, Vega and Balrog got there names switched when SFII came to the U.S because the boxer, M. Bison, looked like Mike Tison and his name was to similar. So, to avoid a possible lawsuit M. Bison= Balrog, Balrog=Vega, and Vega=M. Bison."
