I'm just wondering who your favourite SFIV players are, maybe the guys who play in a style you respect, love to watch, are technically amazing or play your favourite character and do really well with them.
Street Fighter IV
Game » consists of 9 releases. Released Jul 18, 2008
After nearly a decade in hiatus, Capcom's signature mainline fighting game series resurfaces with its fourth main installment, combining the traditional 2D gameplay with modern fully-3D graphics.
Your top 3 favourite professional SFIV players?
#3 : Alex Valle
This guy's playstyle just reeks with experience and age. When I watch him play Ryu it's like watching a game of SSFIIT. He's so on point with his zoning and fireball pressure that you just wanna sit in the corner and hope it'll all be over soon. #2 : James Chen
A Cammy player that plays just how I like to (of course, way better at it though). I'm just way into Cammy players right now and I really like how Chen handles her.#1 : Momochi
What can I say. I love seeing this guy play some damn SFIV. He's got just the right ingredients to make him a great and interesting player: good spacing, tight combos, great execution, good foresight, showmanship and a confident playstyle. He's one of the only players that really gives Daigo a hard time winning. He's my #1 favourite player. " 3. Alex Valle 2. Yeb 1. Mike Ross i also believe in mike ross "@Scooper said:
" @Jeffsekai:@VicRattlehead: Show me a video of a Mike Ross playing. I wanna see why he's your number 1. "I'll do it for you. Most likely its because of this video
Mike ross taking out some scrub sagat that just spams fireballs (jk, jk, don't get mad haunts) and going R Kelly on Magus. Back to back moments.
My personal 3.
3. Combofiend - ever since i followed him, he's changed his main like 5 different times and none of them were high tier characters (yes you see plenty of vipers in tournaments, but he dropped her after SBO even though viper took him to SBO when he got beat by a abel and since then taken abel up)
2. Justin Wong - Yeah we all either love him or hate him, but he actually does use other characters other than rufus and will bust them out to mindfuck ppl (say after being beat one game by combofiend's cammy, Justin picked cammy as well just to download what she can do, started a comeback and switched back to rufus to finish the job. ) Even though he's a tier whore by picking a top tier non-fireball character (he said in interviews that fireballs characters don't fit his style) he consistently gets it done.
1. Daigo - similar reason for Justin wong for his consistency, but this time not only being the guy to beat but also his character. If anyone was to beat Daigo, the internet will scream for vids to study immediately. Beating Daigo is the sure fire way to get your name instantly recognized by the SF4 community. Yes ppl may hate him for playing nothing but ryu, but honestly he's been playing shotos his entire life. What made him number one over Justin Wong was the fact that he has the balls to say Fuck you to his own tournament community by going to a tournament in France instead of Japan's own Gods Garden, and has said in interviews, that if EVO and another big time tournament in Japan was to happen the same day, he would pick EVO. While I respect Japan's philosophy of sticking with one character always, in a game like SF4 where combos take out 60% of your life is not uncommon, you need best 2/3 and a winners and losers bracket.
Honorable mention: Kai - he plays El fuerte and always pulls some crazy shit off. His overall personality matches his character in being so goofy and getting the job at the same time.
i don't know much about Street fighter but i feel the need to show this as even I got goosebumps watching it:
Daigo against ???

http://www.youtube.com/user/godsgarden1

I prefer ArcadeInfinity Ranbats since they are HiRes, but GodsGarden is pretty sweet as well.
GYT is too low res, but they do have a lot of good players on them.
i just play the game lol
i have only really heard of Justin wong and daigo
and i could careless
GET HYPE!!!!!

Well I just watched a bunch on youtube and I dont have a top 3 yet, but I'm liking Kai alot he is a very exciting player.
#3: Kamoda
Back when I played nothing but ST religiously, I loved seeing videos of Kamoda (BRANKAAAAAA) ripping people apart with Blanka, who most players feel is lower in the tiers. A lot of what makes Blanka annoying is gimmicks and while Kamoda definitely has a ton of those, his mind games are crazy and his execution is practically flawless. Aside from being a risky character, what makes Blanka so weak in ST is the difficulty of his most basic bread & butters, but Kamoda never seemed to fail. #2: Combofiend
I love watching Combo play, not only because he's one of those guys who ignores tiers and just plays who he's most comfortable with, but because you can never count him out. When I think of who are the most consistent players, he's easily up at the top along with folks like Daigo and Justin Wong. You can never, ever sleep on Combofiend. No matter the game he has a very aggressive, if not flashy play style that's always exciting.#1: Pony
My Giefspiration for sure, Pony is the reason why I picked up Super Turbo the way I did. Seeing X-Mania tapes and watching this insane Zangief player completely decimate the competition made me completely rethink the way I played Street Fighter. I immediately dropped 3rd Strike, Marvel, everything to play Super Turbo and nothing but Zangief. He pretty much made me realize that anything was possible in competition fighting games. As a bonus, my two favorite Japanese players Kamoda and Pony in a dedicated series. So awesome.
3. Ed Ma- Would probably be number one but hasn't been in a tournament in a long while.
2. Kai
1. Combofiend
For me its:
- Daigo - I just love watching this dude play, especially love his old ST videos.
- Alex Valle - Long time competitor who recently has been doing a lot of stuff for the community. Again, I love his ST videos.
- Justin Wong - You either like him or don't like him and I like him. It's just crazy how good he is, especially at Marvel.
I'm sure you've seen this video but just in case you haven't (any excuse to post this really). Make sure to watch to the end - "My brains are all over the ceiling!!"" Well I just watched a bunch on youtube and I dont have a top 3 yet, but I'm liking Kai alot he is a very exciting player. "
3. Alex Valle. Watching him play against someone else with good footsies is always incredible.
2. Combofiend. Very, very entertaining to watch ever since he switched to Abel. Also one of the most consistent players in the states, imo.
1. Uryo. Ever since I saw his set with Mago, I've been a fan. Dude's an absolute beast with Viper.
" JR Rodriguez. Enough said. Edit: If you havent figured this out by now this is a joke. "Dude he mashes like no other.
3. Alex Valle : It's his playstyle its so much fun to watch normally at the first round it's not that exciting but once the match continues Valle adapts and starts getting in that ass. He is just crazy good at the rush down and can end a match in second.
2. Keno : Didn't like him when I first saw him but now that I have seen alot of him I deffiantly get excited when he comes on to play. He plays Balrog really well and is most known for his "Keno Eye" in which he withh dash punch into Super if the opponent trys to focus it. Not to mention he has all of the "stylish" combos down so when hes feeling a match he will let you know.
1. Mike Ross : BELIVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. To me Mike Ross is not the greatest player, but he's defiantly the most entertaining. Best known for his crazy comebacks (We have all seen him at SBO) not to mention like Keno he will randomly pull a great combo out of his ass that I have never seen.

I don't have a favorite but here are mine:
Magus 1234: Love his commentary on iplaywinner and that Gief is pretty terrifying.
John Choi: Need I say more?
Ricky Ortiz: Best player in California.
Yeah, I'm picking all norcal but that's probably because I've been more exposed to that through the website of iplaywinner. I really enjoy those streams from keystone and just all the goofy stuff they do. A nice, laid-back group of guys over there.
" @Scooper: Not sure about Guile, but i know he did play rog before in SF2. Still, that vid is a rare one since there's plenty more vid of him using Ryu in SF2 instead. Yes I'm sure Daigo knows how to play other characters, but he seems most comfortable with fireball ones. "He played Guile in CvS2 for sure.
