I cant believe I am actually playing Stronghold again after the quick look. What am I doing? I might actually buy the steam pack so i can play the rest of the series, I never bought a game past the first sadly but me an my cousin played Stonghold endlessly for like a month straight after we picked it up used when we were kids. 
 
edit: now that I think of it I should see if he still has heroes of might and magic, another gem we bought together way back.

So how are the rest of the Stronghold games? I never played anything past the first. Should I just stop playing this one and move onto stronghold 2?

I heard Stronghold 2 isnt very good. They are coming out with Stronghold 3 apparently this year too!

Bought Stronghold off the GOG deal and its freaking great! A bit trial and error, but still great.

Better check out that GOG deal...I loved me some Crusader back in the day...

I got it for the first time from GOG, along with Crusaders and Arx Fatalis for 13 bucks. Effin A man!

I actually kind of dug Stronghold 2.
 
It's dropping of rolling logs on enemies from high ground that did it for me I think.

I think I'll pick up Crusader. It looks like Stronghold but in a different time period so how can you go wrong. Maybe I'll try Extremes if I can handle it. Reading around it seemed like they patched Stronghold 2 pretty well, but the game just doesn't look the same to me. Maybe 3 will eventually come out.

I picked up Crusader at gog.com when they had the special deal last week after watching the QL. Still loving it! Great game.

I installed Crusader again. Goddamnit, those games are addicting.

I still have all of them.  Haven't played in a while, but its tempting.  Had a helluva lot of fun with 1.

It's a great RTS, nothing wrong with replaying it.
 
Also if you like Stronghold, you should definitely try Stronghold Crusader.
 
The 3D Stronghold games suck however.
