Overview
Super Burnout is a 1995 motorcycling game from Shen Technologies and Atari Games that was exclusive for the Atari Jaguar. Unlike other racing games for the system, Super Burnout opts to stick with the standard 16-bit sprite-scaling rather than going polygonal with its level design, allowing it to maintain a high fixed frame rate as well as displaying high quality pixel graphics. As such, it's one of the better regarded games for the Jaguar by critics.
Super Burnout contains eight courses set across the world. They aren't named as such due to licensing, but many are based on specific real-life tracks: Laguna Seca, Interlagos, Magny-Cours, Nurburgring, Hungaroring, and Okayama. It has tournament, single-race, practice and two-player modes.
