Glitches in Super Mario Bros. are nothing new, and even one classic 99 lives technique has been known for as long as I can remember, but thanks to a Japanese fan (Games Haya on YouTube), another brand new and super weird 99 lives glitch has been found! It's explained in this video:

Nothing too revolutionary, and yeah, new glitches for old games are still found all the time, but this one struck me as special.
It's just wonderful that 3 decades after its release, this game that is probably the most played NES game, and one of the most recognizable games to non-players, still holds not only glitches that have never been found, but one that is actually beneficial.
