I thought of an interesting experiment. 
 
How about I take an old classic game that I haven't played in several years, and record my attempt at playing it now? This will be a pure, unedited run. I will take a game, hit record and see how I do after several years. We all would like to think that some things are never forgotten, and if we'd sit down in front of one of these games we would run to the end on a single life on our first attempt.
 
As it turns out, things are much more grim than that.

Mario is way too floaty in the first game. I can't play it anymore. Mechanics have just improved so much since then (yes, games are better NOW). So I feel your pain.

Also totally taking requests by the way, I understand Battletoads should appear in this thing?

Rayman, or is it too long? I went back to Rayman, and I found it bloody hard.

I'd be down for Battletoads. 
Also, what consoles would you be using to play? Or are you just running emulators?

Megaman would be a real ass kicker.

Ah, Earthworm Jim then!

It's funny watching this, because I had a pretty much set way of going through SMB.  It's weird to see someone else play.  Great idea for a series! 
 
Mega Man 2 would be my recommendation.

The last death almost had me in tears-this is a brilliant idea.
 
Keep in mind that normally I rage on my first death in SMB-which is normally falling at the elevators in 1-2.
