"The gameplay variety is unmatched in any medium". I'll remember that quote for every "bu teh rehash" that is bound to come up in the next weeks.

"There is more creativity in some single stages of this game than in entire other games". Huh.

Didn't you hear the news? There's only one review that matters and this isn't the one. (sarcasm)

Good news. At least Nintendo can actually do things right for their home console instead of pumping out loads of rubbish full priced mini games.

A great score, still i feel it is a little biased. On all other games, GT criticizes the story, in this one it states that "this is one of those cases where less is more", and subtracts the story grade from the overall review score. Subjective...

" That's more of a fair score then IGN who shot it a 10, I think the only thing wrong is they need to add a story... hate to be a pooper, but I don't think Mario will be perfect until they have some kind of narrative -_- "
What are you talking about? Mario has a great story.
    • Bowser kidnaps Peach.
    • Mario gets pissed and has to collect stars (for some reason) to save her.
    • Platforming ensues.
Boom, story. That's why they pay Miyamoto the big bucks.

Yes, because you shoot people, shoot people, and shoot people. Great variety.

Another reason why Gametrailers and the rest of the gaming media suck; they never criticize Rockstar.

Well, duh, The reason most games get criticized for their stories is because they try to have one and fall horribly flat on their faces.

SMG  does not try to have a story, therefore, its stupid to complain about an aspect it does not have. It would be like whining that an RTS game doesn't have platforming sequences.
