This may seem silly, but I have no idea how to use Jill properly. Im guessing that she can float or glide in some way, but it isnt happening for me.

You have to rapidly tap the jump button to float/slow fall.
 
And yeah, they don't really make that clear when you're actually playing. You just sort of have to figure it out.

Thanks! My god this second section is killing me... It shouldent be hard, but the controls seem oddly messed up considering how tight they have been up to this point...

If you're unlocking Jill and you're doing her levels, just take it easy since the air break is kind of floaty
