The salt factory boss caused some severe cramping in my hand, to the point of pain. Fuck this game, I love it the fucker. But a casuality is.....at hand..... anyone else physically pained by this game?

My thumb gets a little sore but that is it.

Yes, but I mitigate that by switching what run button I use from time to time.

Not yet, but I'm only halfway Chapter 2.  I'm sure I pissed off my housemate last night, though, 'cause I did some of the jump-up-stomp-and-yell-yeah-celebration shit at like 12:30 last night.
 
God, this game is ridiculous.

My eyes hurt from all the scorlling in the game. There's a level on 'Teh Internets" that is all purple and sometimes when I close my eyes all I see is purple.

 I've hurt my hand quite a bit playing this game, mostly due to how I play it. If I don't get an A+ on a stage, I replay the stage until I do get it. Also, I play it for like 2-6 hours at a time and always hold the run button. 
 
It's happening more often now that I'm playing through dark worlds 5-7. Shit can be insane.

I get Super Nintendo thumb, which is a horrible pain/loss of skin on my right thumb when playing Street Fighter 2, this and that are the only two games I've every experienced it...

Sounds nasty although just wait until Rock Band 3 and the pro guitar hits, I'm sure that'll be a hell of a game for people complaining about physical harm.

 Yeah my thumb hurts pretty bad today, and this is my first day with the game. I really have the best idea although that guy kind of mentioned it. 
 
MeatBoy should always run and you can hold the trigger to make him walk!@ seeing as you only walk about 2% of the time. 
 
 Yeah I have been switching between the tip of my thumb and the lower base part, but now they're both sore and I have a red mark. I press the jump button so much harder than I need to in intense games, then I'm telling myself " You don't need to push it so hard! stop! then 5 seconds later I'm pushing hard again.

I always only play for a few levels at a time.   Then if I die more than 50 times, I move on to a different level.

I'm curious whether using RT or X is better to run with as far as cramps go.

I've had a brief headache but really, I just think you're doing it wrong.
6-5 was almost a controller casualty though. it's the first time I've ever thrown a controller and thank god for weirdly places couch cushions! FUCK 6-5.

I used to play a world at a time, but once I got to Hell I just have to take a few victories here and there before I turn it off.

My pinky finger went numb for a while because of the way I was holding the controller, so no physical pain just losing the feeling in my fingers =D

I've been getting hand cramps because I've been holding the controller really tightly because of stress.  Seriously, this is the game that makes me take that medical advice to take breaks when playing video games.

My thumb and index finger are pretty sore from pressing the jump and run buttons, respectively. I really need to stop playing this game for a while...

I take a much more casual approach. Run through the level to complete, then run through to try and get an A+, if I die at the same place over and over I move on. Gradually go back to get A+, but no injuries thus far.

As soon as my thumb even starts to feel uncomfortable (an hour or two) I stop. I learnt to just stop playing after a painful experience with UFC 2009 (swirling submissions >.<)

Yeah, I quit as soon as my hands start to hurt and take a break, not normally, just with this game.

I guess you haven't played the kid's level, it took me hours to do just wait until you get to that.

I've played it and, yeah, had to quit.
